Read the message litterally before his first message you quoted. And Take a chill pill
I read the posts. Someone mentioned Brodie Smith. He said his value had plummeted. I said that's fine, we're keeping him.

So relax, mate. There's nothing I said that was remotely hostile. Obviously we're not trading Brodie Smith and it's pointless getting into a discussion where folks can throw around how he's supposedly "plummeted".

"Your opinion of him is meaningless" in response to a earlier poster asking for an opinion. If the original poster wanted your opinion only they would have quoted you. Likely on the crows main board.

Not a fan of overseas teams.....
Dion Prestia to North

Aaron Black, Aaron Mullet + Pick 66 to Gold Coast

Leaves north with pick 30, 70 and 84.

We ontrade 70 + 84 to Richmond for pick 61

Brad McKenzie is traded back home to south australia for pick in the late 50s.

North go to the draft with live picks, 30, 59 and 61 and grab what we need + Tomlinson, Prestia, Steele

Assumptions:

Retire: Petrie, Waite, Ray

Delist: Nahas, Tippett, Fordham

Who knows: Daw

1 year contract: Boomer, Dal Santo + Firitto
I know we all love our respective clubs but i cant believe you posted that. why not the tigers ask to get Tambling back so they can on trade him to the Swans for Buddy and correct a wrong.

Saints trade 2017 1st to GWS for jack Steele and late 2016 st (16-18)

Saints trade 2 2016 1sts (9 and 16-18) to Essendon for Hurley + 2nd round pick (likely hibbered pick)

GWS gain 2017 1st, lose Steele and 2016 1st

Essendon gain 2 x 2016 1sts, lose Hurley & Hibbered

Saints lose 2016+2017 firsts, gain Hurley, Steele and 2016 second.
Hurley from reports hates Carlisle, don't know why it keeps coming up they could land him.

Fair enough.

I probably should say - the opinion that Brodie Smith, having had a so-so year, now has a low value needs to be balanced by the fact that he is first 22 in a premiership quality team.

My opinion is that he's untradable, so his value is difficult to determine. It's hard to know the price of something that won't be sold.

Has Smith been linked to a move?.. Why would he ..Crows look good , getting games and he is from SA.
Have to be a unhappy situation or not getting games to go from AC atm for mine... More likely to have players wanting in than out.. have to be handy though with guys like Gore and Menzel missing out. Has Menzel settled now... still not a regular in the side?

Not sure if serious? o_O
Few north posters are confident they're in deep with him. He was a pick #19 who has had a strong season without breaking out, so to speak. Late first is what we'd ask and being a KPP probably what they'd part with.

Having said that be interesting to see what their plans are for Daw, Black etc. Obviously Griff might be a target to replace Petrie.

Griffiths for Norths first rounder?

Or player of equal value?
25 y.o. Key forwards who average a goal and 10 disposals a game aren't worth much, let alone a 1st rounder :drunk:.

Josh Walker went for a 3rd and Griffiths has a similar impact to him in games. Best case scenario is someone pays for potential (Rhys Stanley) and offers a 2nd.

Half of a 3rd round pick; Jansen was involved in the trade too.

Pretty good trade hypothetical. I think GWS would probably want a little more from the trade. I'd probably add the saints 2016 third round pick as well to give GWS more points for bidding. Could somehow get Essendon involved to perhaps get them to give their 4th round pick to GWS purely for more points.

Trade value of Nathan Hrovat?

seems to have slipped down the pecking order at the Dogs this year, but has played some excellent footy when given the chance.
I'd want a pick between pick 30 - 35. Kids been injured and the rise of Caleb Daniel in that exact role cost him.

Has ability, isn't slow and importantly he lowers the eyes and uses the ball well.

We were offered two 2nd rounders by GWS last year and Gold Coast are very interested.

I don't think Rat will be overly keen to move interstate so if there's any local interest I daresay they'd be the early favourites. If he did elect to leave I'd be looking for a second rounder; he's very clearly an AFL standard midfielder in my mind.
