I'm saying no to Marchbank due to personal history with him

Yeah I was unsure if we could ask for the 2nd back but that would be good for us I reckon

James Stewart is an interesting one - 1.97m athletic tall forward. Not sure if he can ruck at all though.
He might not cost the earth, which is a plus.

He'll go for opportunity.
Also, apparently Port is open to trading Hamish Hartlett, according to the Advertiser.
Don't watch a lot of Port but I know he's only 26, inside/outside mid with a beautiful kick and a strong tackler. Used to be injury-prone but has played 15, 22, 22, 22 games in the past four years.
He is a machine when hes up and running but he doesnt get the footy often enough, would still trade a first for him though because he has the ability to play brownlow games .. just needs a new start I think
Cheers. Do you know much more about him - how he's played in the NEAFL etc? And how much would he cost?

Agreed - looking at his averages for the past few years, he only gets it about 20 times a game - but it's often quality touches rather than just accumulating the footy.
If we're keen on him it could be a case of buying low, as he's coming off an inconsistent year and the Power may be keen to get him off their books.
Next year's first, with something small coming back our way? Or ANB and next year's second?
I've gone off him a bit since that tackle on Gus in the NAB.He is a machine when hes up and running but he doesnt get the footy often enough, would still trade a first for him though because he has the ability to play brownlow games .. just needs a new start I think
I'd take him.. and he's a bit of a campaigner if we want to add yet another to the list.Yeah Id think Port would want a pick around about the 10 mark, possibly higher.. hes worth more than Prestia as an example
But his best is elite, he can bomb goals from 55 and he doesnt just kick the ball sideways. Id take him for sure
Hes much the same as Bernie when we took him, if we can get him playing consistently he could still be an AA
Yeah noone should judge on NEAFL form. Was up in canberra for work for a few days, and was talking to a bloke in the office who plays full back in the NEAFL. Was mid 30s, said he was lucky to make 1 training a week, went to the gym a few other days, and was picked every weekend. Said he had played on some big name players and gotten absolutely destroyed every timeThe NEAFL competition is ******* shit
Agree. No to Marchbank. I don't think he is enough of an upgrade on Frost/TMac/Omac to throw next years 1st at.
We should only use next years first if it involves picking up a quality senior player, like Hartlett.
So he's 3 years removed from 23?Also, apparently Port is open to trading Hamish Hartlett, according to the Advertiser.
