Ben Long, kicked 5 already for doggies in the VFL nephew of Michael....I like what i see.

I would be spewing if we picked up Boomer, i hate that cocky little midget

Absolutely do not need! We have Kent, Garlett and Kennedy playing a similar role. I'd be very disappointed if we trade in a 38 year old into a position we have covered! FFS!

Wells and Hartlett on the other hand although injury prone, are exactly the type of player we need. Outside class with experience. Would be happy to take a punt on either tbh.

Apparently Sicily is being talked about as being tradeable for the Hawks to get their deals done. Potential Hogan replacement? What would he be worth?

Dean Terlich.

Don't want Sicily and definitely don't want to help Hawthorn get O'Meara.

Mid sized forward who's best skill is ducking his head. Pass.

Absolutely NO on Sicily. A mid sized piss-weak forward who has only achieved any success on the back of getting sterling service from an elite midfield. Will be an absolute potato when he actually has to do the work to get it inside 50 (ala Hogan). In addition, he's got massive stocks on himself.

I hope you all realise that Sicily is dangerously punchable so can't come to Melbourne - also I think it was established that we can't take Boomer because we will have to shoot his dick off. At least I think that's what was agreed.

As pointed out, unless we have an elite set shot, shooting Boomer's dick off may be problematic

Sicily is shithouse and if he ends up getting Hawthorn the currency they need to get O'Meara or Mitchell the trade manager responsible should be shot.

Sorry for the intrusion - thoughts on a possible 3 way deal with Hogan involved.

WC - gain Hogan - lose Darling and pick 12.
Ess - gain Darling - lose Hibberd and pick 19.
Mel - gain Hibberd, pick 12, pick 19 - lose Hogan.

We would most certainly take that although we know we're a lock to get Hibberd anyway so unsure whether we'd need to include him in the deal.

Well you save pick 26 by doing that deal with Hibberd included.

Ideally you'd want Hogan to stay but if he's going to leave you may as well get it done now and pick up a guy like battle or Marshall with that pick 12 - and pick 19 is likely to be pretty handy.

Yeah I suppose.
I just feel like if we're losing Hogan we'd want a player in return as we're happy to do 26 for Hibberd.
Unsure if the club would want 3 early picks this year, we have kids. Need players.

I'd think we could get more for Hogan than essentially a late first and two second rounds. Besides, we don't need picks to get more kids to spend another couple of years developing them before we're a shot.

But we'd want a ready made replacement for Hogan, which Darling would be, so we'd be better off with just taking Darling and 12, rather than no Darling, but having 19 and 26

Works in theory, but not so much in practice

Lose Hogan and save pick 26.

Wow...

What we used to get Hoges counts for f*** all if he wants to leave mate

It's a much closer representation of his value than that suggestion. That would be disastrous for us if we lost a contracted young elite key forward for that trade. We might as well put up the 'free to good home' sign if we roll over that easily this year.

Edit: I forgot that we get to keep pick 26 :rainbow:
