Possibly because he's still contracted until the end of next year, there's no hurry.

With all due respect Proper Gander you may have misheard or the news were just making a story out of nothing (Couple weeks ago they were all crapping on about how Hurley had recommitted, still waiting). There is nothing anywhere else on bigfooty, nor is there anything on demonland. If he had indeed put talks off till early 2017 demonland would have crashed by now, but not a single post about it on there.

So it was just the text on screen rather than anything that he said?

Good chance it was just the caption writer having a 'mare if that's the case. Pretty sure they get the work experience kid to do those on occasion, there are some shockers going around!

Nothing he said. That's why I wasn't certain it was a big deal because it was pretty vague.

It definitely happened though. Can't work out for the life of me why every freak on Demonland missed the opportunity for another discussion about semiotics and psychic indicators in body language. Maybe they are having a convention or something (and if that isn't a more frightening image even then Jesse in the Freo forward line, then I don't know what is).

I'm getting paranoid now. I keep checking media updates for everything I can think of so that I can thrust the material facts in the face of schmuttt and expose him in his wrongness and then get God-Emperor Striker to suspend his account until I get a full and frank apology in its own thread - which he won't be able to post given he would be suspended now that I think of it.

One possibility is Mitchell isn't retained. Another is the retirements of Richards and McGlynn, combined with likely player movements such as Jake Lloyd and Tom Derickx

I think there's the possibility of a reasonable contract, but I doubt we'll come close to a Demons offer if they want him enough and Mitchell stays.
