I don't think he'll go though. The effort to get Omac and the comments made about playing with his brother (maybe I'm naive) make me think it's more about the CBA than anything else.
Yeah the CBA issue comes up as the sticking point for most soon to be OOC players so hopefully this is the case here.
Talk is Sydney right into him.
What would they have to give in return?
1st rounder and a player?

heh - realistically, who ISN'T into him? :)

No idea what sydney has got that we'd want and/or realistically be able to get.

Their first and Zak Jones
Losing Tmac would give us the picks to have a crack at Hurley

I just cant imagine TMac going anywhere else unless its for a truck load of extra cash.

I also cant imagine who would/could pay him a truck load extra cash.

Sydney surely cant offer more money than us - particularly 'significantly' more money.

Yeah the benefit of Sydney over us has got to be immediate success, not a payrise. And even then, the success is coming.

It smacks of Agent gamesmanship to me. Trying to extract the best deal possible so spreading word of other interest and people "hearing" he's gone etc.

In every interview I've seen TMac himself has been pretty clear that he wants to stay to continue to play with his brother and see through what he's been a big part in building.

You do have to worry though, because between Melbourne Stkilda and the Bulldogs we have 0 flags in 50 years, and no matter how good everything looks now it's hard to argue that you won't get more success being at one of Hawthorn Sydney or Geelong seeing as they have been in almost every finals series since 06
It'd be great to go one off season without losing a ****ing important senior player
Moloney, Rivers, Frawley, Clark, Scully, Howe,

I'd trade Omac if it ment we got Hurley but that's a very unlikely scenario
Can't see the bombers wanting AVB plus he's a best 22 player at melbourne
ANB is one I'd like to keep but he's the classic player you can lose, racks up big numbers in the reserves and can't get a gig in the senior side
ANB is in his second year FFS.
I would be pissed if they traded him

I'm not saying we offer him, but if adelaide comes along and says your playing 22 games with us next year I could see how we could lose him

I'm not against trading anb if its needed to get the hibberd across the line. Hibberd is a proven player and if it cost us a potential player so be it. I doubt essendon would be after him anyway.

I think ANB has potential to be a real jet for us. I'm just not sure in what position. I rate him above Harmes as a mid and above (sadly now) Trengove. I also reckon he's got more upside than Bugg.

The player I still most want us to get is Dion Prestia, just coz I really think of him as an out and out gun. He's probably worth a first rounder plus steaknives.

Hibberd would be nice off half-back, could spell the end of Lumumba though not that I'm crying.

Of course if one of TMac, Hogan or Tyson request a trade then it blows the whole thing open.

Dawes and Lumumba both have little to no trade value. Vanders would have a bit but I can't see the club or him wanting to part ways, though I'd be open to it if it were part of a Prestia deal. I have no idea what is going to happen with Trengove :/ maybe I'm being harsh but he still looks so slow and I can't see him playing anywhere outside the centre square.

Why would Dom request a trade?

Also I think Trengove will get another year, I'm skeptical of him playing another 50 games but he deserves one more.

I know what you mean about Trengove, but I'm backing him in for another 50 games. A good half or more of that is pure sentiment, but the rest of it is based on him being a genuine gun when he came in and a real footballer with real football instincts. I think he will force himself back to best 22 and when he does I would like it to be as a demon.

I love trengove as much as the next guy but unfortunately hes in that fringe/depth group that have been given 2-3 games and dropped... Not best 22 IMO.. may be used as steak knives in a trade?

compared to our current list, They're all duds.
I would argue that all of them, in their prime, would be members of our best 22. Howe borderline, but he's good when in form like at the minute.

Also, Trengove should definitely be kept. I don't know why he was dropped in the first place tbh, he was borderline and pretty unlucky IMO, and now people seem to be taking it as an indication that maybe he's cooked?

He was dropped because he was still slow as **** and would have been effecting our zone , plus his kicked lacked depth still

Was just an example, I think he's coming out of contract soon, though the club never really stated how long he signed on when we first acquired him from GWS. I had heard a few months ago Richmond were keeping tabs on him though haven't heard anything further.

Fair enough. He is signed till 2017 I believe, we would have heard something by now if he wasn't.

This might seem weird given their age difference but I see Trengove now like I saw Cross last year. Good mark, good tackle, brave, good user, but slowing down and having his opponent sprint away from him at the contest.

Richmond are linked to everyone. I have Richmond supporting mate who is constantly disappointed about the lack of players they've landed. The most exciting has been yarran and he hasn't even played.

We are also linked to everybody remembering last year
