I would love to believe you mate but I doubt a reserves player for the last 2 seasons gets 500k at another club
Considering we aren't offering him a contract I'd think he settle for anyone who would take him

I'd be fine with Grimes going elsewhere for a more regular senior game and us getting whatever we get in return rather than him playing 2-3 games for us due to injuries to others.
Same with Trenners if someone wants him tbh but if I had to keep one it'd be Trenners.

I think our midfield does perform better with more experience but I don't see Barlow getting too many games given Roos' 'youth at all costs' policy in defence this year (which to be fair is really paying off with Hunt in particular and even Wagner and OMac who are looking pretty good).

The only thing I can think is that when we were under pressure they put Bernie back into the midfield which means Goodwin and Roos don't have enough trust in the kids to turn momentum yet

On Barlow ya cant have to many mature mids pushing for finals which we are from next yr. He has shown he can play a high possession tagging role which is handy n frees up Viney n Vince. Better than Michie Grimes Trengove Bugg Newton ANB Kennedy ATM so pushes them out of best 22 adds more depth. The bloke knows what hard work is mature age broken leg dropped and come back better each time so could see him showing good leadership which we lack also is in an age bracket we dont really have any players once we boot Alis long lost son and Dawes. In saying all that i wouldnt be paying a high price for him

Actual thought the same thing about Vince playing Burgoyne role. Would also play Jones up fwd more cause he never seems to miss when its needed. Yeah JV and Tyson are just about there Barlow would bring a different sort of leadership i reckon which we dont have much of a footybrain
