Our style of football that we've been working on all year is about having pace and getting drive out of our backline, Hunt has been a very important part of that structure. Goodwin loves him if our defense, he's not going to play on the wing.

You do know a wingers job is to get back and help out in defence or do you think he's just gonna stand on the logo waiting for the ball to get to him
Mate it doesn't matter, Vince and Harmes won't stay in defence for much longer and you have almost have a personal issue with Hibberd who would be our best mid sized defender

I can name one who isn't and that's Hibberd.

How do anyone us know who else is on the market? I didn't predict Frost, Kennedy, Bugg or Vince but all of them have contributed to the team and all of them were in that vicinity.

Why get a player whose last really good season was 2014 for a 2nd round pick?

If there were classy ball users on the market we wouldn't be trading our second round pick for Hibberd.. you think we have just gone to Essendon said we will do the deal and not bothered talking to anyone else? Like Ahmed Saad is gonna go to Richmond for a second round pick while we are sitting in the trade office going **** why did we sign that contract saying we are only allowed to trade for Hibberd this year

My issue is that he's massively overrated. Even Essendon fans admit that he had a poor 2015 and the was found out by the opposition and they're happy to offload him for a 2nd rounder. The last good year he had was 2014. The 2014 version of hibberd will not improve our team.

So what are the chances that he gets back to his best from 2014? He's spent a year out of the season due to being a drug cheat and he's spent the last couple of months drinking his way through Europe.

Us Australians are a funny lot. We applaud people like Mack Horton for making a stand on the world stage against drug cheats but conveniently dismiss the issue in our own competitions. I think that we're hypocrites on this issue.
But with regards to Hibberd it's based on friends of mine who go to a lot of games and their opinion and then going back and watching games myself on foxtel.

No he wasn't, it certainly wasn't his best year but he wasn't shit. Regardless Vince had achieved far more at that point of his career than Hibberd.

I think we should aim to pick up a big name FA at the end of 2017, quite a few really good ones are currently OOC then.

Having said that, a fair bit of $$$ will be used next heat to extend the likes of Brayshaw Petracca Tyson etc

I expect the club is planning on that last part. We'll be offloading some list cloggers over the next couple of years to compensate.

Hibberd will improve our list, our defenders don't make the footy enough and Hibberd is a marking defender

You're arguing against the coaches and also saying that they know best. Read back the last couple of pages and see if you can spot where you've dug yourself a nice big hole. Unless of course you think Goodwin is against bringing in Hibberd.
