Brownlow Medallist
Our third rounder should be around mid-40s. A pick after that or the end of the third round would be a win for Grimes IMO.

Talk in Perth has really picked up around Nat Fyfe. The rumour that he's not well liked amongst the playing group is Getting stronger and stronger by the day. By all reports if he does leave it will be to Victoria.
Not saying it's going to happen at all but how funny would it be given the Hogan situation and all the crap posted by Freo supporters if
1) Jesse signs a new long term deal
2) Nat Fyfe requests a trade to Melbourne

As exciting as it would be for us the reaction from the dockers supporters would be absolute goldNot sure I could handle that level of excitement.
Unless we're trading Brayshaw, Petracca, or Oliver, we don't really have the trade currency to get Fyfe this year. Next year maybe if the Dockers cave to unders like Adelaide did when Dangerfield came OOC.Talk in Perth has really picked up around Nat Fyfe. Like I said not saying it will happen at all. Just that it would be the funniest thing ever to see the meltdown from the freo supporters who think they will get Jesse. Especially for a Dee's supporter living over here who has the pleasure of listening to "I think we're gonna get hogan " every day from Freo work colleagues.Unless we're trading Brayshaw, Petracca, or Oliver, we don't really have the trade currency to get Fyfe this year. Depending on Prestia and O'Meara trades GC could have up to 4 top ten picks. They're going to try lure Fyfe there. Imagine Fyfe and Ablett in the same side!

He's a Free Agent next year, no trade required ... The only sticking point is if he's Restricted or Unrestricted. You'd imagine he'd be one of their top earners so likely Restricted, but given the way their luck is going at the moment, maybe his contract is heavily front ended, and he becomes unrestricted like what happened with Chip a few years back.Unless we're trading Brayshaw, Petracca, or Oliver, we don't really have the trade currency to get Fyfe this year. They seem to think pick 3 will do although they are reluctant. They're not the brightest lot. They also do forget we gave them Colin SylviaMy response to this everytime is "you're going to give us Fyfe plus what?"

I understand. Also a Gawn -> Fyfe Tyson Viney Petracca Oliver Brayshaw Jones Hunt midfield group with Watts and Hogan as targets...aaahhhh. We could even just play Fyfe as a second or third tall.Like I said not saying it will happen at all. Freo would match any offers and we can't go around offering anyone unreasonable money anyway. Gotta implement a structure like Geelong. He's a Free Agent next year, no trade required ... Haha I feel bad hating on Freo because as a rule I'd much rather put up with them than Eagles supporters. They are just arrogant pricks while Freo supporters are more 'special'.Haha. There's also the "he can just come to us when he's out of contract." Generally I then drop a reminder of their placing on the ladder and they don't have a comeback after that...

How good does that look on paper !!!
Biggest knock on him is his disposal but he'd fit in perfectly as that outside player we're after I thinkI think we are going to throw the kitchen sink at Gaff in two years time. It is a while off I know, but we have been linked before and he signed to when he comes to FA status earlier in the year.
I honestly don't. Stayed the hell away from stating it on here though. What happened to the Dees big footy posters standard line? "Dont want Fyfe, we have enough of his type"

- Fyfe offers us something we have a lot of - inside brilliance. He's brilliant as that inside/out type, but lurking across the forward line he's not as good.
His best spot is in the middle though. No one on our list comes close to offering what Fyfe does. Our list is building nicely but they are all along way from being A graders let alone superstars of the competition. If he played as a permanent forward he would have Watts covered easily as our 2nd key position forward behind Jesse.
Hard to compare Gawn to our midfielders but agree he is definitely A grade. Viney and Tyson are probably our best two midfielders but I still think Fyfe is a completely unique player that can plays both inside and outside at an elite level. I'd lock him in the middle alongside those two and throw Petracca in the forward line.
If things were continue to go pear shaped in WA and he looked at joining and building a premiership at a Victorian placed club and we have a good year in '17 then anything could happen. I mean Prestia just nominated Richmond... who saw that coming?
