I'd be happy to add in a fringe youngster to get the deal done - a JKH/ANB type even.

I like both players but feel there's not a heap of room for them at the moment.

Problem is we have a serious squeeze for list spots happening this year.

Honestly I'd take just the second, but if it gets tense maybe slide our fourth in to your third - I really don't think it'll be necessary.

I think we could end up with a first round pick in the end.
So many VFL level players that could find homes at other clubs, Grimes, Trengove, Michie etc. Add them all up and we could swap picks for a first rounder.

Viney and co will pull some magic out of the hat, mitch kupchak style.

The whole Essendon is hard to deal with schtick ended with Sheedy - we tend to get them done, and the only two over recent history that have been REAL painful I'd lay at the feet of the other club, Saints and Gold Coast.

Sheeds was a nightmare.

I think the schtick comes from Dodoro publicly playing hardball previously. That move is one straight out of the Sheedy playbook. While a deal may get done, that public intransigence sets a lot of people off.

Bains was a bloody joke with the Carlisle trade.

OF COURSE they were in some way going to have to give up pick 5.

The chest beating from that club at the time was ridiculous - was the first time they'd been invited to the dance based on their behaviour.

Dodoro was absolutely masterful in that trade - getting Hawthorn and Clarkson involved....

Don't think any Essendon supporter nor Essendon have suggested that. I've got no doubt this will be one of the first deals done in trade week.

NO.

Is just a slightly better version of Blease, he is despised by Geelong supporters. Makes terrible decisions and doesn't win a whole lot of the ball.

I think he's a top you off player, im not saying he's a star but he shows glimpses of star quality, bit of a dick tease.

He has shown plenty more than Blease ever has, mate, lets not get stupid.

I don't think he is an absolute dud but I don't really see what spot he is going to take in the 22. You can say top us off but I'd rather back Taylor in with draft picks than pick up players who are NQR.

Wait, im not saying sell the farm to get him or anything like that, im looking for decent value (buy low) that could be useful to us.

Something like next years third rounder would be all im willing to give up.

Put it this way, id rather Murdoch on a cheap contract for a third rounder than Brad Hill on 600K plus for a late first.

Jesus i hope it gets done. The whole scenario is horrible. If he wasn't one of the 34, sure get the best you can, but please for hibbos sake get it done.

Even jack trengove would be enough for me. 27 would be good too.

We haven't actually had a live pick in the second round since 2011 (Rory Taggert lol).
