I'm going to have a stab and note that not one major player has outright nominated us yet in the PR/SG era - Vince, Melk, Lumumba, Tyson, Jeffy. I don't think that the club operates like that to avoid being absolutely locked into a move with a club. Allows them flexibility to create deals amd talk to other players with plausible deniability.

Don't reckon he's done enough yet to give up a first rounder. If it was a 2nd rounder back and ended up being a 10-15 spot pick downgrade maybe

To be honest, I'm that underwhelemed with the players who are being linked with us and/or the delisted free agents or players who have signalled intention to leave that we keep discussing.

I would genuinely rather keep 2-4 of the likes of Dawes, Newton, Pedo, White, Michie for another 12 months as depth players, and keep our draft picks. Bear in mind the quality of players who weren't in our 22 at times in the last 6 weeks of the season who we would like to see playing regularly; Oliver, Kennedy, JKH, ANB, Weid, Hulett, Trenners. I don't see the value in trading in players like Lennon, McBean or WHE who would be in the same boat.

I would be making minimal changes; delist Terlich, one of Newton/Michie, King, lose Grimes (FA), trade 1 of Dunn or Garland (if for a pick no worse than 53 (the McDonald pick)) and re-address after 12 months of Goody's tenure. It's not going to be the difference as to whether we win a premiership or not in the next 5 years.

Stewart from GWS would be great. We had a nibble 2 years ago but he was very much required as they didn't see the massive rise of Lobb coming.

I don't think we trade next years first pick (possibly the 2nd though). Would need to be of a massive benefit to us and I don't see anything coming that might require that.

No idea how tall he is but he was extremely highly rated as a junior, went 6 in the draft which is bloody high for a defender

Every year since roos and Taylor teamed up we have gotten Atleast 3 players in every trade period ... wouldn't be surprised if we somehow have more than Hibberd lined up

James Stewart is an interesting one - 1.97m athletic tall forward. Not sure if he can ruck at all though.

He might not cost the earth, which is a plus.
