No problem, our board didnt like the idea of trading him so I thought it may have been closer. Would need two top picks for Hogan I'd imagine and while I think we could get a late 1st for Apeness that obviously isnt two top 10 picks then is it. All the best

All good - I think two top 10 picks (one very low) would be the starting point to Hogan. I know that sounds like a lot for a 21yo key forward who had a pretty ordinary finish to the season, but everyone can see what potential he has, plus key forwards are just so valuable.

If, for example JH said he wanted to be traded to Freo this year, we'd be asking for pick 3, Weller and possibly a touch more, imo.

Would you take pick 3 and Apeness for Hogan if it came to it?

We all really rate Apeness but you have to give quality to get quality and I was interested to know what other supporters though of him.

You may all think he is a spud and that's fair enough.

Maybe if you'd thrown in Morabito.

Agree Hogan is worth more than Fyfe.. as crazy as that sounds but it's that bloody hard to find great key forwards..

If we were to get pick 3 and next years first they'd have to throw in a decent player such as Weller. And we'd have to throw back a pik perhaps. No way it'd only be pick 3 and player.

No, but I think your well and truly showing supporter bias if you think we can get Fyfe and more for Hogan on the basis that Fyfe missed a year, Hogan also missed a season with stress fractures which could affect his career especially with flying

His post is reasonable. Darling had done the same at 21. It's exactly what people are basing their judgements of hogan on. He's potential at the moment.

I agree with Gysberts2Bate .. outside of J Pod who came into the season as an adult. Hogan had the best debut goal-kicking season for any player since 1993! He is a once in a generation player (who had second year blues as a lot of gun players do and still kicked 40 goals!) Darling was already playing in a gun side and Hogan has hardly had silver service since his time at the club. There is no comparison in my opinion. Fyfe is an absolute gun but there will be plenty of midfielders (Petracca or Oliver may end up being just as good) but there is only one Hogan.

In my opinion for Hogan to go to Freo it would have to be in a 3 way trade that netted us a gun outside mid or high 1st round pic as well as a half decent ready made KPF.

They traded last years first for Bennell. They can't trade this years (3rd) pick and next seasons first round pick. They can trade this years first pick only.
