Taylor and Co would have been aware for the last 3+ months that we wouldn't have a first or probably a 2nd for Hibberd
No doubt we have been able to put in more time than other clubs into players from the 40+ range which means we are every chance of finding another gem

Hi Guys pardon the interruption, just dropped in to congratulate you guys on a great trade period and conmiserations that you needed to deal with that grandstanding fool from Essendon.
Very strange days for the traditionally 'struggling' clubs. Bulldogs win the flag, Dees and Saints building strong lists and killing the trade period, while clubs like Richmond and Port are in meltdown while Hawthorn and Collingwood are just confused.

Deal got done mate. Salty tears from '15 still taste good.

We've had 4 top 10 picks in the last 2 drafts, its a risk that we're in a very strong position to make.

As has been mentioned above, Weideman is effectively our 1st round pick this year, which has proven to be a good call, given there are no Key Forward's anywhere near the top 10 this year, and we get an extra year of training and development into him.

I just don't think we need to. We effectively took the Weid from this year's first round. I reckon we have plenty of decent youth from the past few drafts and if there is one draft to 'skip' for us, it is this one.

I would just try and get back into the 2nd round at least. Although next year we will be more of a destination club and be happy we held on to our 2017 2nd

Instead we have experienced players, ready to roll round one!

Yes actually. Wasn't about the deal but dealing with the fool you have as a list manager. Carlisle and Gresham compared to VFL players was fine by me.

Probably not true. Dawes and Lumumba got a couple of years as passengers. Traded in senior players get preferential treatment. Probably only applicable to Melksham here though, the other two will be best 22 I imagine.
