Silent majority? You've got to be shitting me referring to Trump supporters as either silent or a majority. They are neither. The silent majority are all those who boycotted the polls. Let's be realistic about it at least shall we.
Exactly. The republican vote was actually lower this year than in both 2008 and 2012, 100k less than 2008, and about a million less than 2012. The democratic vote has lost 9 million votes since Obama in 08, five million since 2012. I'd say they're the silent majority if there is one.

50m+ people voted for each candidate, off course not all were loud and proud about their vote, and yes some muslims/POC/LGBT people voted for Trump, just like some white working class/lower educated/racists voted for Hillary. It does not mean there is a "majority" sitting out there, they are exceptions to the rules.
I'm getting a little tired of you consistently misrepresenting me. I argued that she was a silent supporter. He argued there were no silent Trump supporters. Please quote me where I said anything about the majority?

the people who get offended get to decide whether or not you are insulting them.

your intentions don't matter.

welcome to the world of the SJW.
Offence is something taken, not given. People can feel insulted by my obersvations and conclusions as they like, but for me to have insulted them, I must have intended to do so.

Not quite - Hillary's economic plan was positively conservative and adhering to the strictest tenets of neo-liberalism, while a good portion Trump's economic plan with respect to trade was positively left leaning with protectionism and an appeal to reviving a domestic manufacturing base which has been in decline for decades (see Reaganomics).
Hillary took the rust belt states for granted and didn't do anywhere near enough to stymie the anger of small town residents who have seen their quality of life eroded over decades of neo-liberal economic practice.
Apparently did not make my point clear. Hillary did not have the political room to move in the direction you suggest because it would have been a repudiation of Obamanomics.

I didn't misrepresent you at all. I agreed that there were silent supporters, but there was a broader discussion raised in the initial post around whether they were a majority...

No room for carelessly causing offense? It has to be a considered act?
