it's a pity that a thread can be rendered completely unreadable by one or two tedious posters, but that's public discourse for you
I unsubscribed a while ago, and thought I would check back to see if the same posters were arguing the same points in the same manner. They are.
Might have to wait until the conventions or debates until we get some interesting conversation

I'll give this American election cycle one thing. It's proven once and for all how much better preferential voting systems are to first past the post. Really this should be a 4 way race between the anti-establishment right (Trump), anti-establishment left (Sanders), establishment dem (Clinton) and establishment repub (Kasich? Bush?). That would be a generally interesting election but you can't have that with their stupid voting system.

I know that you dont actually believe any of the nonsense you post in regards to Trump, you are just trying to bait others into argument
Sure. Same with the >10,000,000 people who have voted for Trump in the primaries, we're all just trying to bait you. No way anyone actually supports his foreign policies, his trade policies, his tax policies, or his social attitudes

Wrong again like usual.
I work as a cleaner 20hrs/week. I also have my RSO that allows me to work whenever there are functions and then I do the cleaning after. I also have 3 children who I do the stay at home Dad thing for instead of putting them in after school care.

Forget Nixon. Nixon is irrelevant. Maybe Guy Smiley is running... whatevas.
You're telling me to forget Nixon after you said Trump is in some good company with not releasing tax returns and referring directly to Nixon.

You're a walking contradiction.

20 hours a week, well good for you. And having an active involvement in the development of your childrens life is a good thing, but tell me, do you claim FTB A/B on one or more of those children and do you your your partner supplement your wages with any other govt sources?
Because if you do, then that just makes you just another one of those hypocrites sucking off the public purse you are so outraged by .

Last year we received some money at the end of the financial year. First time in ages. Just a small % of our taxes were returned from your thieving mates!

He got the Family Tax Benefit. I doubt he got that much though because if his wife is working full time and he is working part time. He would be getting a small part of A and B or only A.

I don't think anyone minds a safety net really and I don't know why it is suddenly change to absolutism if you think welfare might be turning into a career for some people.

I'm happy for him to receive any payment that he is entitled to,that is irrelevant. What I find hard to stomach is those who protest loudly at others being a blight on the public purse yet use those same services to gain financially themselves. Just pure hypocrisy

Nooooooooooooo.

OK, you're confused obviously. Let me simplify.

Forget Nixon. Nixon is irrelevant. Maybe Guy Smiley is running... whatevas.

The point is:

Trump will be the last person to not hand in tax returns since 1968 (which was the year Nixon/Guy Smiley was running).

That's as simple as I can make it.
Or just put it as "drumpf is the first to not hand in tax returns since it became standard republican candidate practice in 1968)

I DON'T CLAIM A THING.
Sometimes I wonder if you are naive or just stupid. Who wouldn't claim what they are entitled to? It still doesn't mean it should be made available by the government!

He's got you there mellowyellow . Of course he's allowed to make the best of his situation, and he's also allowed to say that the system should be changed.

It's the same as political parties arguing for banning corporate donations, but accepting them until such a time comes.

If you really did feel strongly about it you wouldn't accept it out of principle. If you did accept it then you probably should shut up about it and stop going on and on
