Trump is not far right. He's the most liberal Republican candidate in years.

He may have Muslim ancestry, but he's almost certainly not a practising Muslim.
That is a mealy mouthed comment, being a Muslim, is not inherited. He is either a Muslim or not. What is non-practicing supposed to mean. Answer, yes or no?

His family heritage is more than likely Muslim to some extent considering his middle name is Hussein.

And I believe you can still be a Muslim without practising, there's a lot of people who call themselves Catholic/Protestant who have never set foot in a church in their life.

Hussein is a really common name in Middle Eastern regions.

What 'heritage' do you think former Iraqi deputy PM Tariq Aziz was?

You said it though. People identify themselves, even if they don't set foot in a church. It's nothing to do with their heritage.

Obama identities as a Christian and has never given any indication otherwise.

I think there is a chance he is!
No
While his time in a Madrassa may have influenced him
I believe his time spent with the likes of Bill Ayers, while Michelle Obama worked with Bernadine Dohrn
These and Obama's longtime attendance of Jeremiah Wrights church has more to do with his outlook

Ah, the old Obama is simultaneously everything conservatives don't like about the USA argument.

He's weak and dangerous. Doesn't intervene enough and a tyrant. A Muslim who takes his orders from radical black Christianity. A Socialist who's in thrall to Goldman Sachs.

Almost makes me nostalgic.

That doesn't mean he's not more liberal than Bush/McCain/Romney. You're cherry picking
McCain was fairly liberal or a moderate Republican. In the 90's Trump was a New York Democrat but his platform isn't liberal. The whole point is that he's ripping up the liberal program from a conservative POV. Protectionism in the economic sphere, opposing identity politics and political correctness in the cultural sphere and he opposes many liberal social bills. He may be a liberal but he's not running as one.
