But no one doubts that Branson truly is a billionaire, there's a lot of doubt as to whether Trump can truly claim that.
Is it really important though? Will it make a difference on how he will perform as president if he as $900 million or $1.1 Billion? It's really a tabloid story which has distracted from what should be the focus, which is the candidate's policies and stances on key issues.

The big kafuffle over Trump's failed businesses, or his orange skin or the fact that his family was called Drumpf 200 years ago are pointless.

I hope people who say Trump's failed businesses (and his trend of making profit based on scams and deceit) don't matter aren't the same ones who have a go at Hillary for her poor record on stuff

Both are terrible candidates but you cannot bag one then champion another

So you're working on your own imagination now? "seem to strongly implied", yep you got nothing.

Talking about drawing pictures, you sure draw a bloody long bow when I merely said "he's mentally ill and needs help" and interpret it as "I'm totally discounting him being the president and I strongly implied mental illness as one of the reasons why".

If I discount him I wouldn't even talk about him in any way, you need to learn what that word means

I find it weird how you're being argumentative over this, you don't even like Trump, so why act like one of those Trump fans?
I would interpret "he's mentally ill and needs help" as to at least partially discounting him for pres.

Am I in cuckoo land? :D

They are running for President, not running to be CEO of a business. Their political records are the only thing that should be relevant.

Clinton's character is far from perfect, but as Obama said there may not be a more qualified candidate to ever run for president. In regards to Trump's political history, it is undisputable that there has never been a candidate less qualified to run for president.

It doesn't though, Reagan was clearly mentally ill with Alzheimers and he ran for president and was alright at it

You did say most candidates are mentally ill in some ways, which I agree with, it doesn't disqualify or discount any of them as candidates either. Can I bag them as being terrible candidates that people shouldn't vote for? Yes I can and I will do it til election day with Trump

Yes you are in cuckoo land so turn back before it's too late ;)

I admitted that about 300 pages ago, please try and keep up.... always thought she was the most likely democratic candidate to win against a Republican, as the Republicans went in on Trump it became even more important. I think she has some flaws, and would prefer her more to the left, but i'll take what i can in terms of a sane competent candidate over Trump.
The way things have panned out I reckon she'd be really struggling against any Republican other than Trump. It's pretty sad that this is the best either party can do.

If Trump is relying on his business credentials to get him elected then his business acumen is absolutely relevant.

Reagan not widely known about at the time... at least to the public. And yes, if I was around then and known about it would certainly led me to discount him.

You have to agree that Trump's narc tendencies are a VERY big factor to discount him. If not we can disagree on that point but please don't tell me which words to use. I do try to get it right most of the time.

Interesting, as some pollsters (and Michael Moore) are expecting Trump to take out most if not all of the rustbelt states as he effectively taps into the anger felt by the "ordinary voter" there.
Not sure Clinton's platform has the capacity to counter the "I've been left behind" sentiment in some parts of voting America.
well, imagine how they fell 12 months from now if Trump's in office...they thought they'd been left behind before, they'll be living in the ice-age if they elect Trump.

Absolutely - and Trump would struggle against Sanders, as the polling suggested.
Trump gets extraordinary mileage out of being the non-mainstream nominee, and sanders would have nullified some of that advantage.

Most other Republican nominees could push the 'non-corrupt party nominee' bandwagon pretty hard and gain a significant advantage as well.

Quite possibly (especially the millions that have health cover under Obamacare that would have that cover overturned).
We are talking about, largely, people feeling so left behind that the one chance to give the big end of town the middle finger is a huge incentive.

There's a reason he's so pissed at Bloomberg for dinging him on the fact that he's actually a shit businessman.
businessman, he's a ******* shister, actually, he's the king of debt and that's about it...if he owned all this shit he put's his name on he'd be the richest chump in the world, yet his campaign is $50m in debt, and people actually voted for him to represent them, you cannot make this shit up...well, in America you can.

Since when have facts ever gotten in the way of politicking?
It's salesmanship.

Most politicians are narcissists, but Trump's probably the biggest one around atm. Narcissism is not all bad sometimes, but when your perception of your self is completely opposite to your actual ability then it's a problem

Anyway we've talked about this long enough, I'm gonna go back to dissing Trump

I think she would struggle to beat Kaisch if he was the nominee. but he was kinda of overshadowed by the bigger personalities like Cruz and Trump.
