Khan's speech has created a lot of attention especially with Trump's reaction so foxnews has decided to post a long column about Khan's speech and protecting USA...

http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2016/08/01/open-letter-to-mr-khizr-khan.html

Excerpt:

When you and your family arrived to America from Pakistan, you assimilated into our country. You adopted American ways, learned our history and apparently you even acquired a pocket Constitution along the way. Good for you sir.

But, there are many Muslims in America who not only have no desire to assimilate, but wish to live under Sharia Law.

That is unacceptable to Americans. There is only one law of the land. That is the U.S. Constitution.

As you well know, Mr. Khan, we live in violent times, dangerous times. Muslim madmen from ISIS and other radical Jihadi groups are on a murder and terror spree across the globe.

Your religion of peace, Islam, is anything but that in 2016. That is a fact that is confirmed every time a Muslim shoots, bombs, beheads and tortures innocent men, women and children. This does not mean that every Muslim is a terrorist, but most terrorists, sir, are indeed Muslims.

A Muslim terrorist attack has become the sign of the times.

I don't think you understand what 'regime change' means.
This is a repeat of our original 'what crimes is Hillary supposed to be guilty of?' conversation that seemed to cause you to be so tetchy with me since. You hold hard-line opinions but have no desire to actually explain your reasoning for them.

That's something I don't understand. Seems self-defeating.
Neither party does. The iron-age jobs are not coming back.
It is a tricky question. People can speak about re-training older workers in new areas, but the take-up must be fairly low because the stats generally show a failure for these workers to re-enter the workforce once an industry moves offshore.

Clearly Khan has not assimilated into the American way coz the new American way according to the crazier Republicans is to disrespect the military and their families

My favourite part of the article, in the first couple of lines he references the bible twice, while talking to a Muslim. Nice.

The rest is rubbish, but what is expected. Trump could have easily objected to what he said in terms of policy, he didn't though, he shat on his son's death and his sacrifice. He's a petty petty man.

I use nicknames for both candidates. The doesn't mean I'm not objective.

Again, waiting for you to chastise me on using Drumpf. Anyway, you've admitted to not being objective so we basically both agree you're not an honest actor.
Do you genuinely believe calling Clinton "Hitlery" and Trump "Drumpf" is an equivalent insult?

One is Godwin's Law and related seemingly to the fact the first 2 letters are the same (their politics are obviously extremely different in many, many ways).

The other is a reference to Trump's ancestral family name made by John Oliver after a segment where he talked about how Trump is far more a brand that tries to sell success, rather than him actually being synonymous with business success. So he wondered aloud how Donald might be thought of if he had a different brand. And he specifically noted that Trump had tweeted that John Stewart should go by the name "Jon Leibovitz" because he should "Be proud of your heritage. Don’t run away from who you are.". Hence Oliver going back to what Trump's ancestors had switched names away from - Drumpf.

Maybe you think they're equivalent because both are German references???

He doesn't respect McCain because he got captured. Doesn't respect Kahn because... too Muslimy?

And Trump himself? He couldn't go to Vietnam for the first four years as he was studying (a medical examination was done in that time which found him fit for service). Then when he couldn't use that as an excuse, he was suddenly excused for medical reasons. When it was said he had bone spurs, reporters asked 'which foot?' to which he said he couldn't remember and they'd have to look it up. His campaign later said 'it was both feet'. Odd that he didn't remember that when asked 'which foot?'... And on a different occasion the campaign said he had never even be drafted.

He's a walking sales fabrication.

The quality and usefulness of the product he is selling is highly-questionable. Gordon Ramsay would've walked out half-way through the show if Trump was what he had to fix-up on Kitchen Nightmares.

Very close to getting the license for it, I know you're gonna say "ha you ain't no expert!" but then again you think Trump can be trusted in politics, about ISIS, about the economy, about most things actually, so now you got nothing

Impulsiveness is a big one, emotional symptoms like sensitivity to criticism, mood swings, short temper. I don't think he has full blown AHDH but definitely has some symptoms of it. Narcissism and antisocialism is far more of a problem

And you really think he oversees all his businesses? He pays people to do a lot of it for him, that's what happens when you're handed daddy's money in the first place. People like Branson and Bill Gates who are truly self made and did it with their own hands are the ones who really know how to run businesses
His career path means for decades probably nobody has personally challenged him let alone suggested he has mental issues. He's the boss that owns/quasi-owns the company... no one's going to tell him he might have something wrong with him unless they really want their career to freeze or die.

Trump should really shut his mouth about the fallen soldier and his Muslim parents, probably would have cost him several thousand votes.
His fans in this thread have certainly done a good job keeping their mouths shut about it.

The guy literally makes people sign contracts to forbid them from insulting him, he is a total moron

No, it isnt. Trump is not in favour of regime change and the fact you think he is means you don't understand what the term means.

Your general sophistry and weaselling is noted.

But not 50m in debt to the banksters. Now.... wonder who is? :D
he's over a billion in debt to the banks...that's for certain.

http://fortune.com/2016/03/23/donald-trump-debt/

Since when have facts ever gotten in the way of politicking?
It's salesmanship.
of course, but those with half a brain can sift through the lies that Trump peddles. You can see them now, bunch of yeehas in their rusty old trailers in some half-assed trailer park, pathetic, and this is the most powerful nation on earth? I remember visiting a trailer park in Alaska and thought to myself, how on earth do people live like this, and why are they so ignorant.

Ahh, I don't see how you can disagree when I say that your inability/lack of desire to back up your claims is "self-defeating". It means you have no chance of convincing people who don't see the evidence. For you to reply with "No, it isn't" without addressing what are perceived as contradictions is just another example of making a statement without backing it up, so it remains "self-defeating". You may think it comes across as supreme confidence, but for me it comes across as a lack of sure-footedness.

The contradictions you suggested aren't contradictions. You're just blathering with more sophistry here.

You're just a constant waste of time. Spend all day on BF, yet somehow don't have the time to explain yourself... As I said last time:
And this time I'm talking about the 4 back-and-forth conversations we've had over a few months. Pointless.

In other news, Trump's running mate says Trump 'supports our veterans like no other leader in my lifetime'. Looks like the dumb-ass rhetoric continues to flow up-hill in the Republican Party.

**** me, talk about the pot calling the kettle black. Are you still arguing with Power Raid? Are you still stalking pjcrows every time he says the Liberal Party will win the election? Oh wait, you can't do that, because they DID win the election. God that must be galling for a Labor party member, here banging on about how good they are and they're dead cat bouncing their way to their second lowest ever primary votes. Imagine what Kim Beazley Snr would say about the current dregs in the Labor Party, you being the living embodiment of what he was talking about.

Answer my question: do you understand what 'regime change' means?
