Prepare to be let down yet again... we're evidently not top 4 material. Home and away games dont mean shit when you choke in the finals and overrated shit teams run all over you.

But you know it is the home and away games that put a team in the top 4 right? Choking in finals doesn't influence our ability to make top 4 in the slightest.

Top 4 should be a goal. Obviously a lot can happen during the off season and the season itself, so a finals campaign is more realistic

I agree top 4 should be the goal, but having said that we still need to develop players. McBean, C.Ellis, Menadue or whoever else is promising need to be given a run of games and a proper chance to show if they are good enough to take the spots of Chaplin, Hunt, Newman, Griffiths...etc.

McDonough seemed to always play pretty well in the VFL, especially this year and then was never given a proper run of games in the AFL. Surely we should have played him for 3 or 4 games in the AFL before delisting him? Especially when you have ordinary players getting games like Newman and Hunt and other younger guys like Mednadue who had proven less than McDonough.

We are sort of doing the same thing with McBean now. Hardwick seems to scared to play him.

Before the Freo game Chocco was asked about McBean and he said that their are some important things like strength in the contest and forward pressure that need to improve, he also said that they are confident that he will make the grade. He's a very young big man who is being developed.

I don't reckon Astbury will be a regular player in the AFL. He's like an oversized snail. Way too slow. Depth only. (imo)

I think there must have been a fair bit more going on behind the scenes, unbeknown to us fans. If the Donut was given the arse he was obviously severely lacking something, I reckon attitude but really have no idea. I'm very sure the Bean stalk will be right. We've got 3 talls in the Forward half as is. Bean weighs about as much as a 16 year old girl, he's got plenty of time to bulk up before he gets a go. We will unleash the Bean in 2017 while going for back to back.

We must start the season strong and give our future stars enough games to develop in the easier games. Win enough games to secure a top4 birth and a chance to rest players before the big dance starts.

If we make up numbers again, we will be beaten 4th year in a row and remain a laughing stock of the competition.

I am hopeful for 2016, Top 4 is the minimum for mine, anything less is a failure.

Newman was the only one playing seniors, while every other player still on the list is a year older and however many games more experienced.
May go backwards, but age won't be the reason.

Play well from the start of the season.
Functional forward line.
Adding games into youngsters - deserved games.
Ruck is an issue. We have the players on the list to do OK. But the Hampster is hit and miss, TV is too valuable forward, Griff can do it, but isn't. It'd be great to get an A grade ruck. But if we use the players listed we can easily bodge through. Don't like it though.
Trade in inside talent. We need to help Cotch etc.
Trade in Yarran for outside speed and skill (Still don't like it much personally - but what do I know)

I agree that we need to wait until after trade period and the draft, but my expectation at the minute is that our list changes should simply strengthen our position going into next year.

So I'm hoping for top 4 and that elusive finals win.
