I looked out the window and its barely snowing, yet it looks like a blizzard at Wembley, spose I am about 20km away. Although it snowed all night last night. Tomorrow is going to be fun, snow all day.

Was there really only 25k there? I know the weather is shite and Rochdale are a rabble but still. Shows how far the FA Cup has fallen in the eyes of the fans.

VAR somehow missed three clear Dele dives in the ten minute she was on. NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

In all seriousness that first decision to overrule the lamela goal is an absolute scandal. Everything else is normal football crazy and subjective but that first one - just so so wrong on every level and someone needs to be held accountable or VAR will never be made to work.

That and it's London. A bit of snow and the entire transport system fails.

Metropolitan is the main access to Wembley.

Not sure how the first goal was ruled out. The only thing I can see is Llorente holding a player before he shoots but it's not enough for a foul.

If it was a Liverpool player it would be. Jod would have run to Stockley Park.

When it snows London goes to a stand still. A lot of businesses actually say don't come in to work. 25k is still very low but with the amount of games we've got at home over the next 2-3weeks it's hardly surprising.

Newcastle fans will be the happiest about today. Their Wembley game has been rescheduled. It was 8pm Friday night. campaigner of a time.

VAR shouldn't get involved unless it was a blatantly wrong call. The original decision should have stood.

The two commentators thought it was a foul on Llorente lol

They had hold of each other. 6 of one half a dozen of another, play on for me.

So apparently the penalty that Son took where it was disallowed and Son was given a yellow for unsportsmanlike behavior is another massive gray area and comes down to subjective interpretation.

On ESPNFC they were talking about it, and nowhere in the law regarding pens does it actually say you're not allowed to stop in the middle of your run up, it only prevents a stop at the end of it. And of course, the unsportsmanlike behavior law is more of an unwritten rule so naturally it will differ from football culture to football culture and be entirely subjective.

The referee that spoke to ESPNFC said it was the incorrect decision to disallow it and issue a yellow because he stopped in the middle of his run, not the end before he struck the ball. However, a ref on the TV in England, Chris Foy, said that it was the correct decision and a clear case of unsportsmanlike play, despite unsportsmanlike conduct not actually being clearly defined in the laws of the game.

For me VAR should only be used for offsides/handballs and the most obvious fouls.

Didn't see anything wrong with the first, didn't think the Moura one was obvious so correct decision.

Didn't watch past that but I don't think VAR should be used for those subjective fouls we're there is a bit of contact and a player goes down.

Chris Foy also justified all the other decisions so it appears as though he was just trying to not say they made mistakes. Even tried to justify the first VAR **** up

Law 14 (The Penalty Kic) (page 7) states:

Feinting to take a penalty kick to confuse opponents is permitted as part of football.

However, if in the opinion of the referee the feinting is considered an act of unsporting behaviour the player shall be cautioned.

The referee was within his powers to disallow and issue a yellow card because in his opinion he believed the actions to be unsportsmanlike conduct. It was there to be given although some referees may just let it go.

Yeah exactly. It comes down to whether an individual ref subjectively thinks it's unsporting conduct. It's a gray area, and another one that needs a clearer definition.

Not to mention going home would have been around 10pm on a work night and mostly travelling from West London for the most part to NL. In the snow.

Just watching the highlights of the VAR shitshow now - what was the first goal actually disallowed for?

They need to work on this VAR if they are going to bring it to the prem. it’s massively flawed at the moment

Had City beaten Wigan as expected it could be another all “big six” semi final. Who says the big clubs don’t take the FA cup seriously? Actually probably no one

I rate the FA Cup. To me though the league cup is pointless.
