Oh dont worry ,the minute he "fails" they ll (predominately eastern states media) will put the heat straight back on him simultaneously championing the cause of some unheard of nsw player
It's far more Victorians like Allikat :p

Fair to say the blowtorch is on Khawaja. Surely, surely Maxwell or Mitch Marsh comes in for him at Perth.

Oi. But it's not just Victorians. It's everyone. Because Marsh may be having a good day today, and credit to him, it's been an excellent knock. But you know he's going to get into a long string of fails from here.
lol how do you know that. Apart from a horrid run early on v India his record actually not bad. Main problem is getting injured and inconsistency.

Give up Allikat, we have the best footy team, the best weather, the best beer... us Westerners have the final say on everything and we’re always right.

Khawaja and/or Handscomb OUT. Marsh played a brilliant innings.

Why wouldn't you just bat till Marsh got out and try and pile on another 50 or the new ball becomes available.

Smarsh was so brilliant but the English really had their tails up when Kawaja and Smith were in. Not diminishing SMarsh's innings but the top 5 all did their jobs.
and shouldnt be changed.

Handscomb played a shocking innings. His going so deep in his crease isn't great and he edged and played and missed a bucket load.
He now is the most under the pump.
Not sure on Maxwell or Mitch Marsh, but can't play 4 bowlers for 5 test matches.

Well I don't think you can, but if England can't bat then maybe we get away with it.

Maxwell is never going to be anything for that a spare parts test cricketer. You would consider him on slow or turning wickets, but here in Australia even the poms pop gun pace attack could work him over with the short ball.
As for Mitch Marsh I would want to see consistent runs over a long period before being picked again (and proof his shoulder is 100%). I don't get this obsession with wanting an all rounder at 6. Whats the point if he's a walking wicket most of the time? The 6 needs to be able to knuckle down and bat out of trouble just as much as come out and reinforce an existing advantage. Shaun is a traditionally perfect 6 (apart from the lack of ticker and being 34).

As for all the Handscome bashing geez lets let him actually fail; it was literally 2 innings ago that he made 100 odd for once out and helped win the second test away against Bangladesh, before we discard him because his technique is different. For a country that supposedly values innovation and difference we sure are obsessed with orthodox batting techniques.

If Marsh can play regularly like he did yesterday he could have a strong 3-4 years in the team. His timing and stroke play won’t leave him. And he is very fit.

His back isn't in the best shape tbh, gets a lot of back and hamstring injuries
