Yeah sick, I'll check it out. Think my housemate was keen for Foxtel but there's no way in hell I'll use it for anything other than footy so it's just a waste of money
If you know someone with foxfooty you can use foxtel go on 3 tablets they may let you use that.
On another note . Those of us in the Education Industry . The 1st thursday night game is in the school holidays . The 2nd one isnt.
On another note Telstra mobile customers get the afl live pass free . Was thinking of just buying a cheap as chips sim card just to get the afl live pass or even a cheap telstra mobile modem

Anyone else notice we get shafted with rest during the derby weeks.

In the old fashioned system of allocating derbies they just kept alternating home and away, effectively giving you one stretch of 3 weeks in Perth when you played the away derby and business as usual when you played the home derby.

Recently when the derbies have been played we have switched home and away pattern and payed two homes or two aways, thus giving us two weeks at home each derby.

This year we've got a combo, which is great if you're Freo because they get the 3 weeks home and 2 weeks home, where as we get the corresponding 1 and 2.... Nice little shafting there.

Meh. I think it evens out considering the bye. We're at home after ours, they travel after theirs.
Plus we get 4/5 at home straight after the bye, and 7/11 overall in the run home.

You should see if you can use her phone to stream the AFL too

Excluding Round 1, 23 and the bye. We play 3 games where we have a longer break than our opponent. 6 games where the break is even and 11 games where we have fewer days rest.
Not sure what it equates to but this is pretty consistent with every season

No surprises who takes out most and least kilometres travelled. How is this not a more of a consideration in a) applying a factor for breaks between games b) some sort of cap relief to assist with attracting and holding on to players whose career longevity has to be compromised with the amount of additional travel they have to undertake playing for a non-vic team.

This can't be pushed by the clubs any more. It is something that the AFLPA have to push as they can put it in their CBA.

Sorry for my ignorance, but why can't the clubs push it? CBA would mean it benefits the players across the comp, whereas this is a club specific issue.

Not saying, support from the AFLPA wouldn't help, just not sure they would consider this a priority.

Well it can be and we'll just keep getting the same result. We need the AFLPA to step in and put it in the CBA that the teams in the west are guaranteed no more than X amount of 6 day breaks due to their high travel loads. I'm sure the players are more likely to look after each other and would approve that as a notion in the CBA. If the clubs were to debate etc we'd just be hearing the bullshit talk, I'm some clubs would argue against us getting an "advantage".

You speak as iff the AFL don't own the AFPA
