Could get afl live app if your a cheapskate like meMight have to get fockstell this year![]()
It's freeware. There's a script built in which runs the AFL app's live stream and upscales it to full HD.Nope.

Round 5 is looking pretty good for an away trip. If you can organise it you could spend three or four days in Melbourne and watch Hawthorn/Eagles at the MCG Sunday afternoon, Richmond/Melbourne Monday night MCG and then ANZAC Day on the Tuesday. Also GWS/Syd Saturday night if you're really ambitious.![]()
Not after I go on a 4 day bender, I won't.I don't think some of you realise one of the Thursday night games has Good Friday the next day. Therefor its really more of a Friday night, a Friday night with a 4 day weekend after it. Toughen up princesses you will be ok for your next work day.
Yeah sick, I'll check it out. Think my housemate was keen for Foxtel but there's no way in hell I'll use it for anything other than footy so it's just a waste of moneyIt's freeware. There's a script built in which runs the AFL app's live stream and upscales it to full HD.
It still requires the AFL live pass but it's no Ads and normally a foxtel telecast anyway but without the football 'professionals' opinions and biased love if everything Victoria.
Cheap but not as easy as foxtel.
could also get afl live app and if you have an android device you can mirror it through chromecast. Quaility is not great but its cheap.Yeah sick, I'll check it out. Same reason I've never had it.Yeah sick, I'll check it out. Think my housemate was keen for Foxtel but there's no way in hell I'll use it for anything other than footy so it's just a waste of money
Pretty much thisSame reason I've never had it.
Besides footy, cricket and spicks and specs repeats I don't need a TV.
No tablet and only a dreaded iPhone but might be worth investing in a cheapo androidocould also get afl live app and if you have an android device you can mirror it through chromecast. Quaility is not great but its cheap.
Its funny how over time i have got used to atching footy on the tablet and i kinda prefer it now. I can just lock my self in my room and scream at the footy without the rest of the family getting annoyed.
Are you me?Besides footy, cricket and spicks and specs repeats I don't need a TV.
Yes.Are you me?![]()
I had Foxtel for a season, but it was the same for me. I watched a fair bit of other sport though, particularly the EPL in summer, but I didn't watch much Cricket because I only really like watching Australia in the home summer or the Scorchers/Warriors who were on FTA anyway.Yeah sick, I'll check it out. yeah should look at one.No tablet and only a dreaded iPhone but might be worth investing in a cheapo androido
Yeah I'd definitely get into more cricket but still not enough to justify the cost. My housemate has Netflix so there's even less need for it.I had Foxtel for a season, but it was the same for me. Now I have the AFL live pass on the iPad and it's awesome. Streaming can be a bit iffy but usually it's great.
Don't do it, Foxtel that is. Waste of money, and as it turned out for me, time. I watched any and all sports they had on. Funny thing is I got rid of it because my kids were wasting all their time on it. Hypocrite much?Yeah I'd definitely get into more cricket but still not enough to justify the cost. Plus I like going to the pub to watch games on fox - it's just the issue of the campaigner pubs here only playing the Melb teams
Mmm...pub & footy...is preseason over yet
Oh yeah sick, I'll be able to get reacquainted with Doopa Dogg tooDon't do it, Foxtel that is. Waste of money, and as it turned out for me, time. I watched any and all sports they had on. Funny thing is I got rid of it because my kids were wasting all their time on it. Hypocrite much?
I did what you do, just go to the club to watch the game. Thing is, over here that became a problem sometimes when there were clashing league or union games on. Quite often shipped off to the sports bar, and the odd occasion the corner TV, where the racing channel was on full blast, and it was shit atmosphere, usualy just me watching the game...with the dishlickers at Dapto in the background.
You may have missed another option, which I did with the help of @krankyal. Costs about $240 to setup and that's it. Comfort of my lounge. The convenience and low cost of my own beer on my taps, i can yell and abuse whoever the f*** I want...As loud as I want. Only the dog seems to get slightly annoyed. Can't recommend highly enough.
Only con is that as it's tapping into a GWN WA feed home games are on half hour delay. Oh, and you need an already installed foxtel dish/outlet.

Explain me this:
WB PLAY TWICE: Brisbane Lions, Greater Western Sydney, North Melbourne, Sydney Swans, West Coast
I thought teams in the top 6 were meant to draw each other more? Only 2 of those 5 ended up in top 6?
On SM-G930F using BigFooty.com mobile app
I don't know who that is but I'm assuming its a WA thing. I have been known to mutter the odd confused 'WTF?' at ads for the mower shop in Esperance, until I realise I'm on the WA feed. That, and I'm usually four beers in before bounce down.Oh yeah sick, I'll be able to get reacquainted with Doopa Dogg too
this post is all the encouragement you need to get foxtel.
The monopoly is strong.
Still **** rupet and his foxtel.
Other option I tried was an overseas pass and watching it on the PC. Good quality and decent size screen. $200 for the year. Just need a decent VPN.
Will probably go back to this for next year.
They're supposed to play 2 or 3 of the top
6, and 1 or 2 from the other brackets, so it's within the rules.
They ended up with 4 of the finals sides
