The decision was made on Friday with Mouncey given the chance to make a further submission over the weekend in response. Her response was submitted Monday and considered before yesterday's announcement.

Last minute yes, but she was given a chance to reply and seems happy with the process.

Not much of a chance! I don't think they wish her Ill at all, but they do seem to have been caught on the hop somewhat.

She was pretty gracious about it, for sure.

It's pretty odd that they have sanctioned her participation against women at a lower level in Canberra this year, where her physical advantages are even more pronounced. The AFL aren't as bothered about safety or fairness at that level I guess.

Many questions to be answered, so I hope they're actively working on solutions to a complex issue.
