????? Where have i ever claimed to be a club player, official, or board member?

It was a joke related purely to the order of the posts.

i.e “Is RfcTiger74 there?”
“Now presenting the life members.”

It could have related to any poster, and has absolutely nothing to do with you personally. I’m sorry you have appeared to have interpreted it that way. It wasn’t my intention at all.

Last update i heard was at a tommy hafey lunch

An upgrade will happen, BUT the size and scope of the upgrade are dependant upon how big a grant we get from the vic govt, and this was going to be massively influenced by if/when we got a aflw team

Govt hasnt announced the grants yet, so i doubt we will hear anything further until after this announcement

Wasn't there talk of the state govt financing Punt Rd as a 30k boutique stadium and upgrading Richmond rail station?

That was a dream pitch, but prior to the etihad buyout

Reality is with the afl now owning etihad, no way they schedule games at a third melb stadium. As such, 30k is way too high.

The last report had us looking for 8k in seating off mem, with some dispute as to whether this was for total seating, or in addition to our current 6k capacity.

Fwiw princes park, whitten oval, and arden street are pushing hard to be aflw game bases (ie needing larger seating capacity)

PRO"s advantage is its locality to the CBD and ease of access by public transport. Could well become the home of the AFLW if the govt upgrade Richmond station and build over Brunton Ave.

Princes park with its larger crowd capacity will trump us on that.

Also arden street will be right on the new melbourne metro station (and they are looking for a massive redevelopment as part of the urban renewal project the govt will be spending billions on in that area)

Didn't our schoolboy knob head state premier say he liked the idea of a punt road precinct upgrade that included the railway station, hisense arena, rod laver arena and aami park as a package.

Think so, but an upgrade doesnt mean a major upgradr

I think we can use arden st as a ground for our womens team once norf ceases to exist so any redevelopment there is welcome
