NICK Kyrgios has produced one of the greatest performances of his career, toppling world No 2 Novak Djokovic to reach the Mexico Open semi-finals in Acapulco.

Untouchable on serve, Kyrgios rifled 25 aces to Djokovic’s two in a superb 7-6 (9-7) 7-5 triumph.

The feisty Canberran ripped 41 winners and made only 14 unforced errors to complete a rare set of victories — triumph over each of the “Big Five” — Andy Murray, Djokovic, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Stan Wawrinka.

Kyrgios, 21, will next play American Sam Querrey for a place in the final against either Nadal or Marin Cilic.

It's pretty amazing Nick K has already beaten the top players throughout his young career.

Just saw a few highlights on the news of Nick's match, he looked like he was enjoying himself for once which is good! No mention of Barty's win though.

Barty now at a career high ranking of 119, can crack the top 100 with a title win.

Destanee Aiava is also doing well. She just came off an ITF win in Perth and is through to the QF of another ITF and sits at around 220 on the live rankings, which is also a career high ranking.

Been fantastic coverage, been able to watch a lot more Stosur matches (and now Ash this week).

Incredible serving from Nick today, was just bombing it down all match, another win over a top player, now just needs to stay motivated against Querrey otherwise it doesn't mean as much.

No issues with not liking a player but this poster seems a little obsessed about it. Tomic just doesn't want it enough and it shows in his fitness levels.

Nick wants it, but still not sure whether mentally he can do it over 2 weeks in the Bo5.

Great result for ash this week and the draw opened up beautifully with all top 4 seeds knocked out early.
