Not a fan of Martin, but he did deserve to win.

Was hoping for a schadenfreud moment, a la 1980 when Geoff Raines was as big a favourite as Martin and didn't poll a vote.

Why are you not a fan of Martin?? He plays the game exactly how it should be, is quiet in the media and seems to carry himself really well on and off the field.. Would love 10 of him at Carlton.

The voting in some of our losses didn't really reflect how close some of the games were. There were a few where the winning team got all three votes even though it was only decide by 3-4 goals. Oh well, gotta get more wins I suppose.

Love how Martin didn't buy in to the hype.

It's often contrived for many players but you got the sense with Martin that he didn't care, and nor does he see the higher echelons of the AFL as being his world.

Just because he's a good player, doesn't mean I have to like him.

What i am saying is he is more than a good player.. Luke Hodge & Sam Mitchell are good players but i cant stand them because they are cheap thugs.. Dusty is a clean player and low key off field so unless you are offended by tattoos not sure how you make a statement that you dont like him??

It's all subjective. Whilst I dislike tattoos, I don't judge a person because of them. Martin maybe a 'clean' player on the field, but that's not the only criterion to judge a character.
