Coffield is closing in on my top 5, too.

Brayshaw the surprise packet for mine, made so many smart decisions with ball in hand. Constable definitely in top 10 calculations.

Dylan Moore reminds me so much of Zac Fisher. Not sure we need his type, but he'll absolutely be a player.

Zac Bailey looks a likely type. Ballenden back into top 20 calculations as a tall defender, for mine.

For 2017, where does everyone see Crowden falling? Had a massive first half. Big bodied mid with what looks like elite left foot disposal

Was at match today. Izak Rankine certainly had some tricks. Crowden was a bull and has a laser left foot. Not sure if strength would have same impact in AFL. Never seen him play before, so quite impressive. Paddy Dow solid mid for Vic Country and De Koning in ruck displayed great tapwork, mobile and good skills for 200cm kid.

4th - Rookie would be my guesstimate at this time, could go a tad higher if he does well in the remaining SANFL A grade games. If he was 10 cm's taller he'd go higher no doubt. I'd be prepared to draft both Giro and Crowden and buck the current AFL trend because they are both pure footballers albeit lacking a bit of height.

Agree with you Bicks but not his position taken. Crowden I'm sure will get drafted in the main draft. Sure he's small but that solid frame actually breaks tackles and he is as someone described a bull. Reminds me of a quicker Mitch Grieg not just because he's a left footer but because he has such a lovely accurate kick.
Tough unit who goes and gets it and we are in dire need of a few more of them. He is constantly playing well in the Sturt senior side already.
If we can pick up a SA kid of this quality later in the draft he's well worth pursuing, I'm a fan of his already.

Looking towards this year, I want a 6 foot 3 mid with speed (not much to ask really). Someone with a hard edge about them who hates losing and is happy to get dirty when required.

Next year I want I Rankine. Kid is an absolute gun.

The obsession with 190+cm midfielders makes him a difficult one to pick although at his age he could still grow a bit. Remember too that every discounted Caleb Daniel cos he was "too short". I personally reckon he's worth 2nd/3rd

Likely 1st round pick KPF Will Sutherland has reportedly chosen to pursue his cricket over an AFL career. Thought this was always likely given his father is CEO of Cricket Australia.

I'm not surprised, there are a lot of spots open in the Aussie Cricket team at the moment

Our draft needs are a young ruck/forward prospect. I dont think ROB is in any way a top AFL ruck. I would be going for CCJ, but as he is an SA lad we wont draft him.
We need a strong bodied mid like SPP, Wines etc.
We also need another KPD.
Depending on what happens with Lever and Gov, I would be interested in Houlahan as a third forward. He is quick, one of the best contested marks in the draft and had some good games in the champs. Coming off a shoulder tho, and Porps showed just how dodgy shoulders can ruin a marking forwards career.

Fogherty could very well slide in the draft after the championships. Unlikely to make it to us though - although Port with SPP and Whines are unlikely to draft him so he could slip through.

Fogarty could slide, but not all the way to us. Whether we go after CCJ might depend on landing midfielders in trade week IMO.
