Our 2nd rounder is pick 35...a risk well worth taking for that pick though I think he's 80% chance of being a bust.

He did show a tonne of football ability even at the dons just hasn't been consistent

That was the reason he was pick 6 he moves and reads play like a real footballer and his leg is sensational

For me the disposal is something we need to work on it cost us in the GF

Have you not seen stringer burst through the midfield and kick goals 60m out on the run. Francis can't and will never do that. Over rated and imo will cost way to much! Stringers 10 times the players francis currently is.

Big risk, big reward. I feel the bombers wont give him up cheap. The reports are he is lazy and doesnt work hard enough.

Not many players turn out like T lynch, change club and become better. We have the best development here and will make his better but how much better.

All people talk more highly and give them more excuses due to where they were picked up. Watts anyone.
We need to interview him hard to find out what he thinks went wrong, if we like the answers, gey him. If not dont

I'd sooner use pick 35 on Harrison Petty a SA country boy that doesn't turn 18 until next month, highly impressive at the U18's Carnival and in the SANFL this season. 2017 AFL U18's All Australian.

Its the call Hamish has to make. The draft runs 30 deep this year right Bicks?
If we have 4 or 5 picks, we should attack it unless we have a good player wanting to come.

No, but I actually WATCH the footy, Marty, instead of having opinions about draftees from what I read on the internet.

Yeah, he had a good year in a mediocre side.

I'm not one of these idiots like Marty, beating myself up because we missed out on a third tall who can play loose.

Doedee is the top intercept mark in the SANFL as a 19 year old. He's is a beautiful position to step right in.

Never going to have the tank. We remain a good midsize player.

Neutrals who haven't watched him play?

He's done a mile more than Francis so far. I'd trade for Francis because he's got a long way to go before he's an AFL player so we can see what he has when he's finally ready.

    Doedee starts round one.

Perfect size - we've been proven to be too tall.

Francis isn't playing for any senior team round one, and more than Menzel was when he came to us.

Doedee has actually proven himself at the lower level. Francis has been a failure.

    Doedee miles ahead.

Mate you talk about watching players I watched Glenelg beat Adelaide reserves Doedee stood an 18 year old rookie and got schooled his poor disposal was the reason adelaide lost the game

I've seen Francis play whilst a junior at PAC he was an absolute standout which is why he went at 6

Francis will be Levers replacement there was nothing wrong with a 194 cm Lever in our backline and a 193 Francis is ideal and to have an elite leg is ultra important not a clanger king, come on you would be asking for trouble turning it over in the back lines talk about turnovers from goals.

Doedee will need to squeeze Kelly out if he wants a gig

We'll have 2 spots to fill down back next year, couldn't we play both Doedee and Francis? Or are better off with one of them and Seeds/Mackay or even Keath?

You would have to line up with Harto Talia as the two KPD s then laird brown and Kelly

Who would take the last spot Cheney Hampton Wigg Keath Doedee or if grab Francis

If we could trade Wigg with our pick 35 or try and get a pick around 23-26 somehow wouldn't want to give up a first rounder if we could avoid it

We have to trump port at 29

Or ask if we could swap Doedee but I think they would laugh at us

Just curious you keep mentioning that game you saw, how did Doedee go in the return games. like round 15 when he played as 2nd tall defender and made the Best Players.

They did play an u18 on him did they

Let's be honest he would have to the only one of the first rounders not to have fired a shot in his draft year, maybe one other and if so his days are numbered also
