Is that the same sharenberg who came runner up in the Glenelg B and F watching him this year he showed a bit more than Galluci pohlkoke signorelli and jarman
But hey he didn't nominate this year

You do understand both Jarman and Pohokle made the top 10 for the Crows SANFL B and F, and the reason Gallucci missed top 10 was due to the missing games. Gallucci miss 2.5 games thru injury and 3 games to AFL commitments. Pohokle also missed 2 games when in form due to AFL commitments.
Cannot comment on any comparison between who played better as I did not see any more than 2 Glenelg games so, therefore, I cannot be fair in my appraisal.

So did Doedee. He came runner up not top 10
So did Doedee.
But the question remains, I did not see any more than 2 Glenelg games so I cannot make a comparison or judgment as to who was the better players. Again how many Crows SANFL games did you see. to form an opinion that Schanberg was better than Gallucci Pohokle etc.
I understand He is a good player, But I cannot judge how good he is compared to a player picked up in the same draft without watching more than 2 games.Difficult to give an objective view on who should get votes if they are preforming the role the coach wants them to, which we don't know. IMO from what I've read/viewed, he's an excellent player but has no real point of difference and basically vanilla. I'm definitely not writing him off to never give AFL a serious judge in the future though.

Glenelg are ordinary though. No-one to beat out.He came runner up not top 10
Gallucci's AFL debut was very promising. How was Scharenberg's?I understand He is a good player, But I cannot judge how good he is compared to a player picked up in the same draft without watching more than 2 games.
In this I was having a dig at this part of the conversation quote "he showed a bit more than Gallucci, Poholke, Signorello, and Jarman " without watching a lot of there games is wrong, You cannot judge a player against others without viewing all the players.
Some have a habit of bringing up how bad players are without watching them more than once.
HahahahahahahahahaPresumably his parents were Traveling Wilbury's fans! Full name Harrison Dylan Orbison Lynne Petty.
Can we just confirm that it is Hunter (first name) Clark (surname)... Not Hunter-Clark (surname)?Bicks
How do you think Hunter-Clarke would go in his first year playing as a rebounding defender? Would he be ready to somewhat slot into Smith's role and provide that run and carry, or do you think we are better served by our current options when it comes to 2018?
Agreed. Picks 8-14 are going to be some very good pickups for respective clubs. It's not a weak draft when you have this type of quality in that range.Wouldn't be disappointed with Higgins, Clark, Bonar, or Fogarty.
Don't mind it. He's a medium forward in the Tory Dickson mould. Performed alright in the champs. Would be with either pick 77 or as a rookie, thoughSaw a post on the D&T board linking us to David Handley from Geelong Falcons
yeah... could be an interesting prospect. allegedly two other clubs have spoken to him as well.Don't mind it. He's a medium forward in the Tory Dickson mould. Performed alright in the champs. Would be with either pick 77 or as a rookie, though
Do you see a future there for him?Played a bit of midfield on occasions when I've seen the Falcons play too.
Cheers BicksNot as a full time mid, but can never have too many players that can rotate through there, perhaps I should have been more specific, a more accurate description would be he's played on ball on occasions when I've seen him play.
Would absolutely love him at pick 39 but think he's a 50/50 to be available thenSA's Tall Rangy Wing/Utility Charlie Ballard
Bio courtesy of AFL Draft Central.
OVERVIEW
Charlie Ballard is an exciting 195.5cm utility. In the NAB AFL Under 18 Championships, Ballard averaged 18 disposals and four marks – often playing on the wing. At school level for Sacred Heart, he played at both ends where he used his ability to read the ball to make a significant impact as a key defender and was able to hit the scoreboard when he played up forward. Ballard has plenty of filling out to do, but has shown some impressive signs at all levels to suggest he could be a player of the future. The “Double Blues” player was lucky enough to be part of Sturt’s SANFL Reserves and Under 18s premierships in September.
STRENGTHS
Charlie Ballard has the ability to get around the ground and at his size makes him a tantalising target for his team when transitioning the ball from defence to attack. In his five games in the SANFL Under 18s, Ballard averaged 20.6 disposals and six marks – often intercepting the ball on the wing.
- Intercept marking
- Competitiveness
- Kicking Skills
Despite his light frame, he was willing to intercept the ball and compete around the ground. For a player of his size, he is deceptively quick on the burst and was rarely beaten in too many one-on-one contests. Defensively he can apply pressure using his good agility and force turnovers.
Ballard’s kicking skills make him standout on the outside, where he can hit a pinpoint pass on his preferred right foot. Ballard scored a good 24/30 on the kicking test at the National AFL Draft combine, but showed at times throughout the season for Sturt and South Australia he could have some damaging kicks inside 50.
IMPROVEMENTS
While Ballard tested with a time of 3.05 seconds in the 20m sprint at the NAB AFL Draft Combine (better than average), some other outside midfielders possesses more speed than Ballard. Up against other midfielders that run sub three second 20m sprints, Ballard may be able to improve this – but there will be a trade off with adding to his frame and ensuring his speed remains above average.
- Breakaway speed
- Inside tackling
Defensively Ballard has shown an ability to chase down and tackle opponents, however on the inside at the moment with his skinny frame he can get brushed off – of which 10 kilograms would fix. His tackle averages of 1.5 (SANFL Reserves), 2.4 (SANFL Under 18s) and 1.8 (National Under 18 Championships) suggest there is plenty of room for improvement.
DRAFT PROJECTION: 20-40
SUMMARY
Charlie Ballard is a talented mobile tall utility with an ability to be one of those game changing players of the ilk of Marcus Bontempelli and Nick Riewoldt. Where and how he gets used will be the exciting challenge for whichever team chooses him and with the multitude of playing positions so far, could be used in one spot, or in a number. We could see supporters saying in a few years, “we need two of him”. As good kick and having the ability to link the play, makes him critical as well as his willingness to back into a pack and then clunk the intercept mark and rebound the ball will make him a game changing prospect.
Wasn't it only one opposition poster who was linking us to him? Wouldn't read heaps into itAnyone else heard anything more about us taking Jye Bolton? I'm assuming he'd be as a rookie pick only. Plays for Claremont in the WAFL, supposedly the Pyke connection is there with that one.
