Who would it be so far? I've got (in no order) Lukosius, King, King, Walsh, Rankine, Hill, Carter, Hately, Rozee, Thomas, Jones, Williams, Barzen, Blakey and ScottYou literally can't miss with your 1st pick next year even if you are pick 15
Reckon he's pushing into top 30 calculations at leastBig possession numbers from CCJ there, doesn't look like Fogarty did anything spectacular.
Edwards blue chip IMO, perfect type to potentially be a late gem.
That looks likely off top of my head . Graham GC academy is another one ... should be playing for alliesWho would it be so far? I've got (in no order) Lukosius, King, King, Walsh, Rankine, Hill, Carter, Hately, Rozee, Thomas, Jones, Williams, Barzen, Blakey and Scott
Still some late bloomers to add though alsoUnless some highly rated players become spuds like every year
Hugo Barry, looked like a medial ligament to me.
I don't even bother following the draft a year out, it changes that much it is ridiculous. Jonty "out of our range" Scharenberg prime candidate from last year. Gooch was meant to be top 8 minimum as a underager... Unless injury occurs, a lot changes in junior development over a yearUnless some highly rated players become spuds like every year
Bicks, Adelaide forum remember, in South Australia.Yeah, well I'll take my chances right now and take any of Rozee, Lukosius or Rankine with our 2018 1st.
And remember these 2 names for next year Tom Berry and Matthew Lloyd, 2 local lads that both have brothers at AFL clubs, might not be considered top end at this stage but both have AFL attributes in spades.
Some good ones will be available late 1st round , good year to get a Compo pick for a free agent if we had any players that another club wanted to overpay onBicks, Adelaide forum remember, in South Australia.
You reckon they'll be available at pick 18?
He can flat out play.
The only way you get it is probably to do what St Kilda did with Hawthorn. Find a team who is super desperate for a 1st round pick this year, but our pick probably won't be high enough to entice anyone into such a deal. The problem is all clubs know the same thing
They ain't stupid ( mostly not )
Jeffcrowe do you reckon D Fogarty will be outside the top 5 come draft time?WA leading possession winner Joyce another bottom ager !!!
Higgins can play , elite prospect per position and there is not many
Probably is carrying something. That laziness is the vibe I got too, though, seemed to rely on his talent alone at times. Didn't use his big body to absolute advantage.I reckon he might be carrying a niggle, knee heavily strapped yesterday, starting to look more like a Jake Stringer type forward than a mid though and looked a bit lazy at times to me yesterday, seem to pick and choose what contests he went all in at.
Probably true but you have to look at the development our elite talent of the state is receiving since majority don't seem to go on to become stars in the AFL.SA always builds up their great white hope for the championships, whether it's Trengove or Wingard or Toumpas or Scharenberg or Aish or Fogarty. Puts too much pressure on them. Typically they underperform, or perhaps weren't quite that good in the first place.
