On Cerra: I suppose it depends on what you're looking for. He has a quick football brain, and I'm more impressed with his work ball in hand than I am with the other highly ranked draftees. IMO it's best to go for the most talented which, if Rayner is gone, will be Cerra.

He’s not slow from the videos I saw earlier this year.

We have plenty of pace already in my opinion: Williamson, the Curnows, Murphy, Lang, Fisher, SPS and Pickett.

Happy to go with Cerra.

To me, although you judge each trade individually, Cerra has a bit of the Chris Judd pre draft about him, ie injured, was a major contender but has injury concerns, etc. He just sounds like a natural footballer.
As for Rayner, I think he'll be gone.
I think that's why Fremantle got pick 2. Ballantyne is on the way out and Matera is only an iffy mid term option.

I think who Brisbane takes will have a huge impact on how the draft will unfold, or at least how those early picks will play out.

The key question is:

Are Brisbane confident in getting a kid from Melbourne like Rayner? Or will they play it safe by going for the country boys in LDU or Dow?

Another question which follows that is will Freo's drafting be dictated by similar questions?

Do you think Freo might go Brander at 5 if they rate him a better player than a Naughton?
I think Collingwood take Brander if Freo don’t, and St Kilda will be hoping he slips to them.
I have read on here that North like Stephenson, but it is hard to see them passing up Dow.
Might shake out Coffield to Dogs, Stephenson to Saints.
Leaves us to choose from Fogarty, Bonar, Constable, Higgins (though I hope not). A slider other than Stephenson is ideal at 10.

Freo supporters in the Phantom Threads think they have enough developing KPD and would be furious to take one in the first round (again).

Don't see it as a need for WC given how depleted their midfield is with the loss of Priddis.

He can play off both sides of his body, he oozes composure, always has time, that's before you even get into his excellent foot skills.

I'd like to see us pick up Higgins. Seems to be exceptionally determined. Adds some fleet footed tackling pressure to a midfield that could be a bit oversized & slow (depending on pick 3). =2nd in the kicking efficiency test so Bolton would approve. Versatile

Knightmare on Constable, who he hasn't really reviewed up until now:

Constable - nice height, production, kicking, vision and decision making all top notch. has good penetration. on the negative, very, very slow mover and never feels like he is on the move and has very little time or space to do damage in contested situations due to this as a very stationary ball winner.

Confirms what many have been saying on here, real upside to him but question marks over his mobility.

It's either LDU or Adam Cerra at 3 both quality big bodied midfielders.
At pick 10 Bonar or Garner and pick 30 Kelly or Ryan.
Talls in next year's draft.

Kelly or Ryan would be great pick ups at pick 30 but unfortunately because West Coast has decided to trade itself earlier into the draft. Kelly will be almost certainly picked up by them. This is a real pity
because this guy can play

Preferences for 10.

Balta - the Waite comparison is appropriate. Can play in any position. His breakaway pace is awesome.

Coffield - Good hands and decision making and a nice height.

Brayshaw - just seems like a busy running midfielder. Does most things well. Safe bet for 200 games.

Yes, like most this will change every week. I'm trying to envisage them in our side.
