Might be a bit early but we've been linked so it wouldn't surprise.

It may depend on what we do with our first two picks but if they go a particular way then there's every chance we go for Ross who has impressed and being a late starter could have plenty of development left in his game.

Imagine if we picked Brayshaw/Cerra at 3, Hunter at 10 and Stoddart at 30 and they founds extra endurance during the pre-season.

With Charlie Constable running a truly woeful 7:58 in the 2km time trial does he become a possible draft slider? Could he make it to pick 30, would we even want him if he did? I can’t see him ever being able to be a full time mid if his fitness is that poor.

Was wondering the same thing myself. He was fantastic in midfield in the under 18 carnival. Was interested in possibly taking him at 10. If he suddenly becomes available at 30, that would be brilliant.

I was also somewhat interested in him at 10 but I don’t think anyone would consider him in the top 20 after that result. I think it’s possible he lasts to 30, would be tough to pass on him at that point.

My time was gave up at 7min 1.5 k, having blown up trying to average 17.5k an hour. I then cracked, dropped to 15.5, cracked again, tried to finish strong and just went to shit.

I used to be able to do silly things like this. I swear

Jackson Ross is someone I'm really warming to at this pick.

There may be safer options available on draft night but if we're confident we've nailed 3 and 10 we may be tempted to take a bit of a risk on Jackson here.

We've been linked to him and having crossed over from tennis just a couple of years ago I think the scope for development in his game is huge.

There's a lot to like about his game already though (endurance, versatility, skills, goal sense) and I think after a few years in a professional AFL environment he could develop into a genuine match winner.
