I think I prefer someone who is more versatile and has a higher ceiling in Fogerty of just a 'pure' forward in Allen.
Fair enough.

Personally I think Fogarty would make a great defensive half back, I like how hard he is at the ball & man. Up foward he hasn't really done a lot, the comparisons I have seen else where to Jake Stringer are ludicrous in my opinion.

Someone sell me on how Constable actually fits in our 22. From the patchy youtube videos I've seen, he looks like a less tall, less aggressive Jack Macrae who is slightly more confident by foot. Fast I love Jack Macrae, but I don't think we need another of his type running through our midfield. Constable seems to have elite hands and vision but beyond that, he brings nothing that we lack to the table.

Constable can play more than just inside mid like what most vids on youtube show. He can play as a forward as he is a good finisher and is strong overhead, he can play the same role as Matthew Boyd did across half back in 2016 and he can play as an onballer.

Also he is taller than Macrae was as a junior (Macrae grew after he was drafted) and even if he is not as good on the outside as Macrae was he is better on the inside and is very good in heavy traffic.

Constable woild give us a few things.

1. Someone who can play Matty Boyd's half back role and be just as prolific winning the footy and using it well under pressure in this role.
2. Play as an inside midfielder and give us an extra bigger body with good skills. Dunkley and Jong are injury prone and Bont can't play midfield for an entire game.
3. Talking about when Bont goes forward it would be quite possible to play Constable as a marking forward when Bont goes into the midfield and then switching them around when he needs a rest. Constable has played very well as a forward as a junior. I feel that people forget he averages a goal a game at TAC level and is a good mark.

He is such a natural footballer so he can pretty much do anything on a footy field. Feel like he will be a forward to start off with us though as his marking and finishing skills is something we need badly. Then he will move more into the midfield as he bulks up.

Gollo now I see you have great knowledge of Constable.

How excited do you get with the thought of having MacRae, Dunkley, Bont, Libba and Constable at Bevos disposal

When their bodies are mature Bont, Dunks and Constable would maul smaller sides on the inside. Add in some pace like Zac Bailey or Ed Richards at at 16 and/or Matt Guelfi or Joshua Smithson at 83 and it would be a good draft.

Thanks mate! Sounds like he is a very good fit for our side. I especially like the fact that we will have contensted ball winning ability in all 3 lines with Bont, dunks and Constable. I think people are put off by him because he doesn't glide across the park in a sexy manor in the 2 minute videos haha

It almost seems like he could be an upgrade on Wallis, similar traits. I think one will miss out and I think Wallis might be the unlucky one.

Not as excited as I would be with Cerra instead of Constable. Still, I think Constable would fit into our team dynamic extremely well. His versatility and game sense would be really handy, immediately, in facilitating our tilt up the ladder in 2018-2019. He just adds flexibility to our midfield and can strengthen our defence given the absence of Matty Boyd with his smarts and composure.

I'm now really, really gunning for Bailey or Richards at 16, pretty much regardless of whoever else is available. Bailey in particular - everyone froths contested ball-winners with pace, and Bailey is one with true footballing ability, unlike a Petruccelle type. He's productive, skilful and electric at the contest. Richards would be a lovely addition to our outside stocks too, with pace, skills and composure.

My top 5 ideal scenarios, within some realm of reality, would be:
1. 9 - Coffield, 16 - Bailey
2. 9 - Cerra, 16 - Bailey
3. 9 - Cerra, 16 - Richards
4. 9 - Constable, 16 - Richards
5. 9 - Constable, 16 - Bailey

Clark is the other one I would like us to be considering at 9, but I would prefer Constable. Other options at 16 I would be happy with are Allen, L Fogarty, Stoddart and Houlahan. If Murphy was available, I would trust Dalrymple's judgement and his potential for rapid improvement.

Strange one to mention

Hmmmmm....
Small but has elite athleticism.

2.92sec 20m - equal 1st at SA combine
81cm VJ - 1st at SA combine
91cm running VJ (right) 89cm (left) - 1st and 2nd at the SA combine
8.24sec agility test - 5th at the SA combine
21.3 YOYO - 4th overall at the SA combine

Has a bit of a cannon footskills wise when he decides to unleash, kicked a really good goal in the SANFL u18 GF using it and was probably second best on ground definitely best on for Sturt. Pretty sure he has played senior SANFL this year.

Could become something like Lachie Neale.

Oh I liked him already, I just haven't heard anyone mention his name very often.

I was teasing that was the player that Pann told you about.

There's no way Stephenson gets to us. Whatsoever. St Kilda would take him in a heartbeat, but he won't even be available there.
Never said slide to us... just said slide.. everyone has him as 4... will be 6,7,8 imo

I was a fan for a long time but it has lost the plot.
I think they have too many episodes in a season & that does hurt it putting in gap filling episodes. Personally I pick the episodes I do like out of a season and watch them again in order. Seems as if they are going to take some of the complaints in mind when approaching this latest season though.

What are the knocks on Bailey? From the highlights and what I've read it sounds like he's worth a crack at 9. Why is he rated so low other than average kicks. Consistency? Defensive game?

I guess everyone at this time of year sounds like a potential star though
He averaged 17 disposals across the champs, might need to improve those numbers a little bit. Not sure what his tackling /defensive game is like by the numbers but attacking wise he is a weapon.

Haven't seen enough of him to give a detailed summation, but if you're a 180cm primary inside midfielder that doesn't win a lot of ball even as a junior there are always going to be question marks on how well you're going to step up at AFL level.
