I reckon he'll be gone by pick 14. I do like the thought of getting Allen though.
Really like the look of Allen per highlights, but just don't think he will be around at our second pick.
Gallo's picks would make me very happy; Nick Coffield,Oscar Allen then Gryan Dreaded dog v2 Miers with our 3rd pick.
I'd even consider seeing into the availbility of Xiaver Richards (Rookie pick up), still only 24 and been to a GF loss.

Wouldn't mind rookieing Josh Jaska to give us a tall defender who is athletic enough to play on smaller players. Already very good defensively.
Rookieing a 194cm key defender "The Bulldogs’ supporter likens himself to a Dale Morris or a Dustin Fletcher".
Where do i sign.

LittleG think I'll expand on a few that I would like to see us draft.

1. NICK COFFIELD - been on him all year, tall can play any position, great user and he is quick, seriously quick. Would love him but I feel he will rise.

2. MATTHEW DAY - one word - damaging - is what Day is. 189cm former high level bballer is superb in traffic and can break lines and hit the scoreboard. Skills are very good. Type that can have a big influence on a game with only 20-25 touches

3. GRYAN MIERS - best small forward in this years draft. A natural footballer and just keeps on hitting the scoreboard. One that should be top of our priorities.

4. HUGH DIXON - adding one from outside the TAC. Dixon I really like the look of. A KPF (195cm, 92kg) that has a good vertical jump and is clean at ground level for his size. Quite raw but reminded me of Jarryd Roughead at times, must be watching him a fair bit. Coming out if the TSL wouldn't be surprised if he came on quickly at an AFL club.

5. AIDEN DOMIC - not mentioning him because of you CaptainMurphy :P. Like the look of this kid, has shades of Hunter and Macrae in the way in which he can cover the ground both offensively and defensively. Looks like he will be a decent size body wise in a few years time and has some inside scope. Hell I just like elite runners :P

JACKSON ROSS - 193cm utility that can play everywhere and has an elite running capacity. Similiar to Isaac Smith. Has kicked 2 bags if 5 in the TAC Cup this year so he certainly is one who knows how to kick goals. Body is very raw however the reward of waiting a few years on him to bulk is huge.

Haven't seen Ross play, but from his athletic attributes and goal sense would he be a Bailey Dale comparison of sorts? Outside type with size and forward scope, and we could do with another Dale type.

When am I going to see a player likened to Patty Bowden or Sam Power? Or "player x is a tall ruckman who has been likened to Tom Campbell"....

Wiz , David , Gollo , McCrae , it's over to you boys.
No pressure , but we are hanging on every word ! ;)

Yeah somewhat similar to him from the bits I've seen of him. Skinny as he was when drafted too, looks like a baby giraffe :p.

Above is said baby giraffe.

Day is the one that is a typical pick for us. Similiar to the players like Lippy, Bont, Macrae etc. that played bball and have that movement around pack. Up near the top of my likely to be drafted by us players at the moment.

What's everyone's opinion on Joel Garner?

I think he would tick a lot of Dalrymple's boxes. Private school boy, fantastic leader, good decision maker, composed, physical, good inside the contest, clean, good handballing in close, good endurance, agile, versatile. Add to that he's got a bit of X-factor and he's pretty good in the air. I'm a fan.

One on my list for our first. Probably second after Coffield.

Dunno why there's no love for Darcy Fogarty?? I haven't really followed the draft this year (didn't think we'd have a good pick...) but from everything I've seen he's strong in the air and explosive on the deck. Those are great traits.

It is because he had a down year
But I'm certain that he was playing with an injury for most of this year though, I don't think that damages him with actual recruiters because they have been tracking him his whole junior footy career & if his body is right, a club will still take him first round

If I do have a criticism of him, forgetting that he had an ordinary year. He still isn't the best ball user going around, certainly not the worst either.

I would definitely have Fogarty in the mix on what I saw last year. I'd be happy with any of Brander, Fogarty, Garner, Coffield, Stephenson to be honest. Like you, I haven't been paying a lot of attention to the draft this year though.

I'm still a massive fan of Fogarty, I see him as a Stringer 2.0 - Would be stoked with him.

Draft watchers - any opinions on Clavarino?
Thanks for all your thoughts over the past few days, I needed some optimism after Saturday :(

Here's Knightmare's write up on Clavarino:

9. Oscar Clavarino (VIC)
Best position:
Key defender
Height, weight: 194cm, 80kg
Recruited from: Dandenong Stingrays
Projected draft range: first to second round
Similar to: Heath Grundy
July Ranking: Not ranked
Rationale: Improving his rebounding capabilities. Has progressed from reliable shutdown key defender in 2016 to key defender who takes intercept marks and rebounds by foot. A 20 disposal, 11 mark (three contested), best-on-ground performance against Northern, in combination with his dominant play for Haileybury and Vic Metro sees Clavarino rise.
Strengths:
Strength
Body work one-on-one
Intercept marking
One-on-one marking
Reading the flight of the ball early
Keeps his feet in the contest
Shuts down opponents influence
Reliable kick to target
Weaknesses:
Pace
Athleticism
Agility

I always thought Clavirino was a bit like Collins at the end of last year, but he's improved & yet he isn't really talked about as a first round prospect. I don't think he's good enough for our first, don't believe he'll be there for our second.

I like him, but not sure if he'd be top 10 territory. I liken him to Luke Hodge, better as a Matthew Boyd-type small defender who can have impact as an inside midfielder. Doesn't seem to win enough of the ball or have outstanding physicality to play as a genuine inside mid, but he can move in there for influence and mostly as an attacking defender where he shows his composure and leadership. If he had greater midfield scope I'd be happy to use a top 10 pick on him, but for now I reckon he's more late first-round/early second.

For me, it comes down to poor production, average skills and no best position. His lack of ball-winning ability makes me unconvinced by him as a midfielder, and is shorter than an average KPP. His work in the contest is strong and he has some explosive tendencies but his athleticism on the outside is nothing to write home about, and the fact that he doesn't amass great numbers of contested possessions means I worry how much he will actually be able to impact games at AFL level. He's also not going to get any stronger - his current frame will allow him to compete against AFL players right from his debut, but his work in the contest will have less growth than a Paddy Dow or a Lachie Fogarty, who will benefit from added size.
