Lachlan Fogarty is a Western Jets player in the TAC Cup. He's a Dogs supporter and has performed particularly well at all levels of footy this year.

Darcy Fogarty is South Australian, and has had a thoroughly inconsistent and below-expectation year in terms of performance. Currently, I'm assuming you have mistaken Darcy Fogarty for Lachlan Fogarty.
Nope, I don't think so, Darcy is the taller one, correct?

If people have problems with Charlie Constable's leg speed then there should be all sorts of flags around Darcy Fogarty. He is about as fast as Collins is.

What do people think about injury being an explanation for Darcy Fogarty's poor year? Could have the highest upside of those available at 9 if true. But have I also heard of attitude problems with him? What do people think?
This interview below made me less interested in him, not loving him as much now. He makes the comment that his mum rips into him for not working hard enough. That could explain why his endurance was poor.

He speaks about his knee injury as well. He didn't make a big issue out of it and that's good he's not making excuses. But he only really mentioned something about kicking the ball that affected him.

If that is the case regarding Cerra, I would be going all guns blazing for us to take him at 9. I rate him as the best in the draft - Pendlebury-esque traits.

I also don't see Brayshaw as a top 5 pick. Agree that it would be more enticing if he were bigger, and would want him to have been more dominant at all levels this year. 6-12 should be around his range.
I rate Cerra as the 2nd best player in the draft, he would be great. They are saying Saints will take him at one of their picks if he gets through to them though.

Cerra been unable to test at the combine and not been a notable athlete even before might spook some of those other clubs off

Think Brayshaw is the kind of player that will look like a future star in his first season but that is just because he will adjust to the level a lot quicker

He is a pretty ordinary kick to, he would be a better fit at other clubs imho.

I don't agree with either of those comments. 3.03 over 20m is not bad and he's got good agility.

His kicking is pretty good too. As mentioned above, his knee injury could be the reason why he wasn't kicking it as well this year.

Maybe ordinary was too harsh of a word.

I'm going off of both years by the way and his kicking wasn't something that ever impressed me.

Fair enough, I've always seen it as pretty good. His SA U18 coach rates his kicking as very good from that interview I posted a couple pages back as well. He said he likes him down back for that reason.

I saw it as a problem that he couldn't get into games and didn't look like he had that really high level of competitiveness to fight through anything he was dealing with physically. It could explain his poor form but I still think he was poor despite the injury he was carrying.

For some reason I thought that it was around 3.10 over the 20m, my bad.

Still don't really want him though. I still think he is a bust ala Aaron Francis.

Yeah I'm beginning to have more and more doubts after a bit more research.

As James mentioned above he does seem to lack that high level of competitiveness. His work rate and endurance are questionable. Seems like a bit of a laid back type of character that may not be driven enough to get the best out of himself.

Not Miers or feel he goes to GWS? Seems a perfect fit if they were seriously pursuing Honeychurch.
I feel that he will drop through to GWS and we will take one of the two that I mentioned.

I am really waiting on what we have in the drafts before I try and predict too much though.

It's not sounding like we go to the draft with 9 so I doubt it unfortunately. If we have 13, who are we thinking is around?

Ha, not if we trade away 9. Also I reckon no way Brander goes top ten, and I'd be surprised on Naughton too.

There would be a few that would be aroubd that mark imo. The bird likes a player that is in that sort of range.

Early on for the next draft I like Zane Barzen.

It would be pretty bad if it did eventuate that way and we traded away pick 9.

I won't be surprised if we pick Allen at 13 given we are a little desperate for forwards.

Happy with 9 and 16, will still land two good players even for a "weak" draft

What will our strategy be? Go for two best available mids? A mid and a forward? Mid and a defender?
