There are a number of highly rated guys sub 180cm. My favourite at the moment is Crowden from Sturt. Fogarty has set the bar high for himself in round 1, and I believe we have a number of his type on the list already. Would have him on the list ahead of Honeychurch easily though.

Gryan Miers from the Geelong Falcons is one I want to keep an eye on over the course of the year. His running capacity is elite.

15.05 beep and 2k under 6 minutes...

Then there is Brad Bernacki from Calder.

Clean hands? Does they have any Tutt tendencies?

Sounds like Fogarty is the biggest lock for #1 in a long, long time.

Brander and Ballenden could threaten, since they're KPFs. As could Stephenson, Clark, Rayner and O'Brien.

Boyd was a bigger lock.
I disagree, the talent pool in Boyd's draft wasn't as highly rated and that's why there was a bit of a space. I feel like the only players who can threaten Fogarty are Rayner and Brander.

Boyd was expected to be pick 1 more than a year in advance. There was at least 1 article written about him in the age that I read. I went and watched him play with a mate and it was our first time to a TAC cup game.

You said you disagree but then you gave a reason why Boyd was a bigger lock, ie. that the talent pool wasn't as highly rated. To be clear, I wasn't saying Boyd > Fogarty. At this time of year in 2013 Boyd was by far the number one pick, more than Fogarty is now.

bit of whispers but if Jayden Foster and Josh Patullo have really good year at Footscray, Dogs may consider rookie picking them

Which would be the best Rebels 'home' game to go to?

I'm gonna try and hit up a few during the year. No games at Eureka until May though. Triple header this Sunday at Alfredton Oval with the U/16 development squad, youth girls then the U/18 game.

I spoke to Lloyd Meek today, sounds like a very level headed kid. Also mentioned he didn't have any official interviews with clubs last year which I found interesting given his name was thrown around a fair bit early last season. Wonder if his injury during the carnival effected his chances. Will post the article tomorrow when it's done if anyone is interested.
