183cm inside mid who can go forward and kick goals. Just looked up a few things and he sounds like the sort of player we like.

Constable. Having another big mid that can throw their weight around and mark around the ground is a need. Also plays multiple positions so he fits in with bevos mantra.

Then one of Richards or Ling at 26.

Who do you take at pick 9?

I would like to see more, but Naughton looks the goods from limited vision. I'd probably go with him and then recruit mid/smalls later on.

I like Garner too and I think Dalrymple would also.

Still a bit to play out. I'm curious to see what Hunter Clark, Petruccelle and Garner do in the finals especially.

Balta is way too inconsistent. Could easily see him second round imo.

Allen is a bit of a later first round pick b/c he is more a 3rd tall forward.

I don't think we should go tall for anyone bar Brander. Mid/Utilities types are much better.

Who do you take at pick 9?

Lachie O'Brien, otherwise one of Bonar and Balta. Constable would come into consideration but don't think he'd add anything new to the team nor would he address any glaring holes.

O'brien's too outside. Much perfer Garner if we go for skills.

Bonar and Balta are more 15+ types than top 10.

I personally disagree, I liken O'Brien's skill Level to players that went a lot earlier than pick 9. Save for taking a player like that I wouldn't mind being a little more risky and going for players with plenty of scope to improve. Dare say Bonar's injuries have given him time in the weight room and that he'll be ready to go round 1 next season. Balta has a great mix of attributes for a KPF that I'm a big fan of.

Bid on Ballenden, I expect the Lions would match and then we probably take Hunter Clark

Think I saw somewhere that Oscar Allen had a high beep test, will be interested to see if that's accurate come the combine. Could be what sky rockets him up the board, doesn't seem overly quick though.

Finishing above the saints two picks could end up being a curse for us. Seems like they will targeting the sort of players we will be wanting to.

The casual racism that floats around when discussing indigenous players usually seems to go unchecked but I'm sick of seeing *random indigenous player* being labeled the next Cyril, Betts, Cameron, Walters etc.

He's a geniune midfielder, and his production this year has been very good. Crucial member of Carey's success this year in school footy. Nothing fancy, just a solid player who has few weaknesses. I'd like him as a rookie selection; even if he doesn't have a very high ceiling, he's someone who we could easily plug into our depth stocks who could come up to senior level and contribute. It also appears he's a Dogs supporter, photos show him getting all up in the red, white and blue on GF day last year.

Nothing wrong with blue collar types who can find the football. If they start getting stale, just turn them into an AA defender

Unfortuntely they scrapped the beep test, but this year will set the new benchmark for the yoyo test.

Risky. If Allen showed a bit as a midfielder I would, but he hasn't thus far so no.
Balta I'd be ok if he has outstanding character to get the best out of himself. I rate his potential. I think the risk is too high though.

Adam has struggled since the break where he played for the
allies and only has a few small bags of three goals, including
against the Gold Coast last week. The NT Thunder boys
struggle majorly away from home, but are a different type of
proposition in Darwin. Sambono is clean and composed, but
lacks a bit in the contest at 184 cm and 79 kg he is taller
and rangier than Eddie or Cyril.
