Draft eligible wise I thought:

Seb Williams
The Brayshaw's (Andy was brilliant in the last q)
Joel Amartey
Kai Owens (first half)
Alfie Jarnestrom (just gets to the right spots)
Matt Day (before he was ko'ed)
Ed Richards
Will Walker
Aaron Trusler (only just eligible lol)
Jack Roughsedge
Ned Reeves

All showed signs at times.

Andrew Brayshaw really standing up to win this game for Sandringham.

Outstanding game
Watched only the last quarter of this game, agreed that Andrew Brayshaw stood out. Saw an above average inside game to go with his outside tools. Looks every bit a top 10 prospect. Winning the hard ball must be something all the Brayshaws have in common but Andrew appears to have the best outside skills/running capacity of the three. Hamish also very draftable and would be a steal late draft in my opinion.

One thing that is sticking in my mind about that last q is wondering how the hell he managed to break free and get an effective handball out with half of Oakleigh's midfield hanging off him. That was special.

Kai Owens and Joel Armartey (both not on list in 2016): “Up until the last year or so they’ve been concentrating on basketball. Kai’s mum is from Japan and Joel’s dad is from Ghana. We hope they’re going to be surprise packets and jump out of nowhere. Both are tall and very athletic. Kai’s had a few little setbacks with knee tendinitis, but Joel’s probably exceeded our expectations to this stage in the impact he’s been having playing in the ruck and also forward in practice matches.”

These two also stand out for players who have only just come into the system.

Some of Sandys better players, if we got either as a rookie I'd be happy.

Edit: wait a minute bball. They are a dead set certainty to be drafted by Dal :P

I definitely like Will Walker from Sandy. Knows where to go to get the footy, seemed very clean in the contest and good on the outside as well. Anyone know a bit more about him?

I think he will be a good late pick in the draft. Think he comes from a soccer background or something like that.

I like Amartey too. Good pressuring from a big bloke, some good marks and I saw very good footy smarts from him a couple of times. That tap that led to Brayshaw running into goal for example was very well done.

Dogs keen on Irish player David Clifford if he decides to give AFL a shot

Can't remember the last time we had a international player/s train at the club but we had two of those American talls there a few weeks ago.

Maybe we are making more of an effort with Cat B rookies?

Make sense since we have Footscray to develop them and aren't aligned with a VFL club any more.

Esp with it all being outside the cap
Doesn't hurt to develop all types of players

I am pretty sure we were supposely keen on Connor McKenna before he chose Essendon

Good player but I very much doubt he goes anywhere near top 10. There are just player I see who are much better.

Would come into our thoughts at 26 though, that is if we weren't full of young KPDs....

I am curious where Jaska will go, haven't a clue on his size (height & weight) but he was impressive in yesterdays game.

I don't expect us to take many talls this year, maybe one on the senior list & one on the rookie.

Listed at 193cm, 76kg.

Goes rookie I reckon.

Agree I can't see us taking many talls this year especially with next year's depth in that department being much better.

Should be finding goal kicking smalls and mid sized players like Miers and trying to get another A grade mid with our first to help out Bont.
