I don't how to feel if we recruit guys called Gryan & Kai though.
We've had a Farren on our list. The Band-Aid has truly been ripped off now.

I see it being something like

9 - Andrew Brayshaw (ready for AFL, faster than most of our mids, got good skills)

20 - Gryan Miers (going in before GWS' picks, goal kicking forward and sets up a lot of scoring shots. He is something we need.)

26 - Zac Bailey (quick, tough and can hit the scoreboard. This guy could surprise and play games next year as a small forward before moving into the midfield in the next few. High ceiling)

39 - Ben Paton (Very, Very quick, tall and has a big vertical jump allowing him to play a bit taller. To go with this his skills are also very good and he could allow us to release JJ forward)

R1 - Kai Owens (Very tall wingman who has a big enough leap and strong enough hands to almost play key position. Has only had one year in an elite system so growth to come. Comes from a BBall background, half Japanese)

R2 - Tristan Xerri (Key Forward/Ruckman that has a lot of scope. Has put together a couple of games late in the year these being the last round of the TAC Cup (kicked 2.2 from 25d and 21 hit outs) and the Young Guns Game. Risk reward type.)
Xerri over Reeves? 207cm is a genuine advantage not many others have.

I reckon someone could have a punt on Reeves in the main draft late.

Xerri's ability below his knees for a 201cm player and his ability to play forward the way he does makes him a good rookie pick. If he puts it all together then we have something really formidable with him and Boyd for hardly any cost.

So who is our SA pick then?

Basketball background & from SA

Come on down
Don't know if this is any help as I don't know much about the draft but watched terry wallaces phantom draft and there was a guy who played for s.a and he said he had a basketball background! It was someone houlahan, not sure if that's how it's spelt he's highlights looked pretty good imo

Loved Owens' last quarter in the GF

Hypothetically, say we get pick 11 in a potential Stringer deal. At 9 and 11, who do you take?

Also, I'm intrigued by Lochie O'Brien. Can anybody give me a little bit more information?

OBrien is a bit outside but he has to be one of the better ball users in this draft, his size is nothing to write home about but I hear he has some athletic attributes.

At 9, I'd be hoping for Brander or Coffield
But if we took a look at Richards at 9, I think that might change what we do at 11

Spoke to Lloyd Meek again today, he said a lot of the skills tests have been scrapped for the combine this year. Guess the beep test wasn't the only casualty.
