Ziebell won't be playing much midfield if we pick up LDU or constable.North must seriously hope to assemble the slowest midfield in afl history if they pick Constable. Zeiball, cunnington, Constable among other slow mids is very yuck
It's definitely the direction re-building clubs are heading, targeting top 25 kpp's first is the way to go. Carlton have done it well and north did it with McKay, Durdin, EVW and Nielson.Agree with this, the Bombers did it well and it's exactly how Carlton are building as well. Talls have to come first.
We swapped picks with Brisbane, so unlikely they will bid. GWS a good chance to bid after pick 25. In 2015, both these clubs stocked up on later picks to allow for earlier bids. It was not like they lost picks in teens when the bids were made.Has everyone forgot when Richmond stuck it to GWS and Brisbane in 2015 with their academy players?
They bid on Kennedy and Hipwood in a row before taking Rioli.

I can see the system be used by clubs to allow other clubs to have their picks first before bidding on their f/s if the player is rated around that range. For example North doesn't bid this year on Naish with pick 23 and then next year don't make a bid on one of North's f/s if our pick falls before North's.
You mean the 2 that will nominate other clubs, Blakey and Scott? You realistically wont have a chance on two of them.

This could have been the first "live" trade done on Draft Night .......sadly a year too earlyCollingwood grab Fogarty at 6 and Adelaide grab Richards at 12 and we will swap them in 2 years![]()
Are they rated well before pick 18?Obviously they haven't picked us yet, but you won't get a chance to bid on either of Thomas or Blakey.
Yep, rated as top 10 talent. Are they rated well before pick 18?
Yep, rated as top 10 talent.
Blakey likely to be at the Swans thoughYep, rated as top 10 talent.
True, but I rate both kids based off the comments of those that have watched both boys.Impossible to really tell at the moment though as look at how the expected top 10 today were rated a year ago. It is quite a bit different.
True, the home factor is very strong.Blakey likely to be at the Swans though

I might be alone here but I think Fogarty would make quite a good clearance mid
Dow on RSN this morning, "Would be very special to play for North Melbourne, I would love it, it would be awesome. I would also be close to my family".
Not sure if message to Carlton. LDU or Dow it may come down to if Freo go with Cerra/Brayshaw combo.

True, but would Carlton rather Dow or LDU?Doubt SOS would care about that.
Carlton are picking Dow 100%. GuaranteedDow on RSN this morning, "Would be very special to play for North Melbourne, I would love it, it would be awesome. I would also be close to my family".
Not sure if message to Carlton. LDU or Dow it may come down to for Carlton if Freo go with Cerra/Brayshaw combo, so it'll be interesting who Carlton choose in that situation.
