I disagree, he will be there at 10.

If we wanted him, we would not take him at 3 and won't expect him to last until 10. The whole premise is that North making noises about him at 4 will pressure us to take him at 3. I don't think it will.

Funny to see so many not wanting Darcy Fogarty. Give it a few seasons and the supporters of the team he plays for will love him
Not that I don't necessarily want him, but just don't get the impression we're into him at all (big question is where would he play for his first few years in particular, with us already having Membrey up front and Battle in the wings), so I'd rather North in particular grab him, potentially helping a Cerra/Stephenson slide to us.

No we definitely won't take him at 3. He had a poor year, i would be surprised if he went early.

North need alot, but this does make sense.

Their list isn't that bad.

They've got decent defenders, and quite a few coming through plus a great future (and current) combo in Brown and Wood. Simpkin will eventually transition into a full-time midfielder.

I think it'll either go

1. Brisbane - LDU
2. Fremantle - Rayner
3. Carlton - Cerra
4. North - Dow
5. Fremantle - Brayshaw

or

4. North - Dow
5. Fremantle - Stephenson

Agree he'll be a gun, pick 1 material in this draft if a club wants his body type and skill set . Together with another 2 or 3 others.
X Factor, footy IQ , nice kick and mark , imposes and impacts games. I would not be surprised is Silvagni & Brodie called out Darcy's in couple week time.

The 2017 draft probably has 4 or 5 contenders for pick 1 thence the interchangeable swings. if one leans to X Factor and game turning ability Rayner and Stephenson and possibly Dow. The remainder Cerra and LDU are well rounded mindfielders with different strong traits and competent midfielders.
I'll review it one of two days before 24 November.

A poster on the Lions board has it on good authority from someone on twitter who is friends with an uncles brothers cousin on the fathers side that Cameron Rayner has been told he will be selected by us at number 1.
My cousins uncle can confirm this

A poster on our board cited game turning ability as one of LDU's strengths

No chance we would pass on LDU

No you wouldn't but not much chance both Bris and Freo pass

Doubt LDU would get past Freo anyway.
The situation he put forward was that if Rayner and Dow are both gone we would take either Stephenson or Cerra.

We need a lot of mids and a couple of flankers that can kick well. KPP stocks are looking pretty good which is where you usually start in a rebuild so I think we've got a bit of luxury in trying to pick the most talented smalls in each draft.

Here's a sample:

"Naughton looks sure to be WA's first draft selection in Sydney on Friday, November 24.

Immense complication in Fremantle draft strategy has emerged though, with Collingwood tipped to target the now highly regarded 2017 All-Australian under-18 team member with their first pick at number six."

I fail to see how Collingwood's pick 6 should complicate anything at all for freo?? They pick who they want at 2 and 5, and let Collingwood get who they want at 6. There's literally no chance that any player in the frame for the Pies' pick 6 would still be available at freo's next pick at 42.

Naughton would be a decent pick at 5 but there's plenty of key defenders later in the draft should they want to pick one up at 42.

Perhaps Freo are still deciding whether they want two midfielders or they want to grab the homegrown gun that early. Equally justifiable, but will certainly mean some talented players will slip through to St Kilda, Bulldogs and Carlton.
