No, but then I don't think any journalist knows who is going to pick who. But if Freo have interviewed Cerra three times, or spoken to him again in the last 24-48 hours, then that may get back to a journalist. Doesn't mean Freo are going to pick him.

It's all educated guesswork.
Don't think people have much clue at all at the Moment
Agree. But I am looking at it this way, While Brad Lloyd is in charge of Freo's list, you can be certain Ross will have most say on who he wants at least at 2 (and I'm sure 5 as well). If LDU has been linked to Freo at #2 for basically the whole period before the draft (and Brad's brother has been overseeing LDU all year), can anyone really see Ross changing his mind in the last 24h to Cerra? Does that sound like Ross to anyone? Highly unlikely. I would put decent money on LDU at #2 if Raynor goes #1.

Yep - Dow at 3 and hopefully we go Cerra.

That's very interesting if true.

IMO he will be an absolute jet. Would be a great get at pick 6.

The thing with Collingwood and pick 6 is they will have a choice of "jets" to select at pick 6. D Fogarty for example.

So how do you rank two very good players when one has a disclosed health condition?

And then Pies desperately need to address their spine and have heaps of very good mids and HFFers.

So do they go the red Lamborghini with a question on a sound coming from the gear box or do they go for red Farrari that checks out all good to go and fits your needs better?

Gee whiz it'd be hard to pass on Brayshaw though. The kid just does everything so well. Have a feeling you guys go left field and take Brayshaw, leavinf Cerra to slide to Fremantle at 5
North have mentioned Brayshaw by name, we haven't mentioned Cerra.

No bloody idea.

Good analogy nonetheless.

I see it playing out like this:

  1. Rayner
  2. LDU / Cerra
  3. Dow
  4. LDU / Cerra / Fogarty
  5. Cerra/ Brayshaw
  6. Brayshaw / Stephenson / Fogarty

Few key summary points:
  • Freo tossing up who to take at 2 - with the thought Cerra may be there at 5, while LDU won"t be.
  • North will definitely take LDU if he's available, otherwise they are considering Cerra / Fogarty
  • Freo will take Cerra at 5 if he's there - otherwise very happy with Brayshaw
  • Pies likely to choose Stephenson with the late mail heading that way, unless Brayshaw is still on the table. Fogarty talk going quiet

My final draft order is:

  1. Rayner
  2. LDU
  3. Dow
  4. Cerra
  5. Brayshaw
  6. Stephenson

Dow on RSN this morning, "Would be very special to play for North Melbourne, I would love it, it would be awesome. I would also be close to my family".

Not sure if message to Carlton. LDU or Dow it may come down to for Carlton if Freo go with Cerra/Brayshaw combo, so it'll be interesting who Carlton choose in that situation.

There is a fine line between a kid being honest and draft tampering

and that is about an inch away from being honest and 10 miles away from draft tampering.

The kid is asked if he would like to play for the team he and his whole family barrack for...and he says "f'n oath"

Well duh

Doesn’t matter anyway. Hardly any players get to the club they grew up supporting. Once they’re drafted it doesn’t matter. Of course a kid is going to like the idea of playing at the club he’s grown up supporting but they know that very rarely happens and it’s not a problem. And Carlton have put a lot of work into Dow with numerous interviews and trips out to the family farm and everything so they obviously think he’d be in for the long haul. Plus Dow has followed Carlton on insta and unfollowed North
