Really hope we draft Dow.Not often you get a clearance player who goes hard at it, extracts it and bursts ouf of the middle. We can get bigger clearance players later in the draft ala Cripps, Fyfe

Definitely offers a point of difference but I can't help wanting LDU. From what I've seen he's more determined and hard at the contest than Dow, still has that acceleration (not Dow but there) from the contest but he continues after and covers a heck of a lot of ground from what I've seen. Plus he's shown he can contribute up forward. Too good to pass imo, even if we need a Zorko replacement soon.

Generally would agree, but he's decent on the outside too. That player is hard to find outside the top 10 or so. He may not be as speedy as Danger but he's certainly better on the outside than every mid close to his level on the inside in this draft.
Also, not sure Danger over JPK is that clear.
Tim Kelly from South Fremantle is one i hope we are looking at to bring to add to our midfield mix. It will take a pick in the 20's I believe to get him. Obviously you have to take into account list spots but would be more than happy to try and move up into the top 10 as high as possible and and then have a couple in that 18-25 range for Ballenden and someone like Tim Kelly.
Yeah, hearing similar actually. Would not want us matching a pick 6 bid.

Will be a quality player but you would have to let him go at pick 6.
I have been a massive advocate for Ballenden and even I would be reluctant to match that high!
Dodongo mentioned it the other day and will mention it again. If the club thinks Collingwood will bid on Ballanden then we'll either give up 12 for Cameron or trade 12 for a first next year or use it to move to the top 5. Dodongo thinks having pick 12 is pointless if we have to use it on Ballenden.

Would also downgrade our pick 18 to 22.
I actually hope that we have a crack at Freo's pick 5 using 12 and 18.
Suspected that may be the case, was just about to check.
I want him but not at that price.

Feels a bit like throwing too much at this year's draft. If we did that, we would want to be damned confident of what we want still being available at 5. It's supposed to be pretty shallow after that 5-7 area and I'd hate to see us take someone at 5 that we don't think suits our needs.

Schache a chance to not even be playing AFL footy in 3 years IMO. From the Pies POV it's just not worth the risk.

I really don't think we pass on Ballenden with pick 12. Quality KPP who play back forward and have an elite kick are rare. And he's a local boy so no GHF
Dodongo thinks if we can upgrade it to get a Stephenson who is a Lions supporter (no flight risk) and can also get Ballenden with a pick(s) after the 20's (who isn't a flight risk), then that's better than using 12 on Ballenden.
Thomas Berry was discussed earlier in the year on this board and I have also seen a few posts about him on the DT&FA board and he has been rated pretty well eg. around pick 20 next year. I have zero on Charlie's brother.
Agree on the trading up strategy Dodongo to make certain of at least 2 picks in before Ballenden bid.
BUT Josh Schache was/is a Lions supporter as well and was very keen to come here by all accounts.
