I have heard he is a Natural Born Footballer.
100% think he is who we should be taking at 1, for good measure take his brother with our left over pick after we take Ballenden and Payne (we have 6 senior spots left) that way we've at least created an environment for him to stay and his brother also shows quite a bit of promise

It appears Constable will be available at pick 15 and appears to be the favourite for us to take, that's a big inside mid right there which gets rid of the need for LDU especially with Berry already here. Rayner is an elite talent but hes just as likely to fail as he is likely to become a superstar, Brayshaw just appears a no brainer

I listened to LDU on Sen this morning, i quite liked the way he spoke. He loves surfing, i'm not from Brisbane, are there good breaks around the Brisbane area and do other players currently love surfing too?

I surf at Currumbin most weeks and live in inner city Bris. If I leave at 5am, usually in the water by 6 and there's plenty of options north and south of there. Pretty sure Black used to surf during the season.

Definitely tasmania and Western Australia would have the best surf in Australia. South east Queensland has no swell for majority of the year, it's only the warm water that would appeal to surfers, not the surf itself. Although when the Gold Coast is working (which is rarely) you might struggle to find a more perfect, friendly wave.

Oldest brother also lives in Brisbane

As someone who checks the surf forecast daily, it feels like there's been no swell since last summer :'(. I guess it depends on what you define as best surf. Your average surfer loves it here because in the 'season' you get runs of decent surf every week of 2-5ft and you only have to wear a wetsuit for a few months of the year and the rest of the time it's stopping getting burnt.

Yeah I totally agree. I probably took it a bit far by defining the best surf in Australia when really LDU would probably just be your average surfer looking for some nice head high friendly surf. Mate we pretty much need a cyclone to pass through for anything resembling a 'decent' wave in south east Queensland haha I feel your pain with the lack of swell.

If Ballenden is bid on #12-14

can the lions use #40, #44 and #52 to match and keep #15 and #18?
or do they have to use their next pick?

Also less chance of encountering a shark in warmer waters. Just read an interesting fact -- every fatal attack in WA has been in water below 20c

Yeah the majority of attacks are well south of Perth, general rule is the Indian Ocean up here is too warm. That said, colleague of mine was diving with someone killed at Mindarie (North of Perth) by a Shark just a couple of years ago.

I had some amazing days surfing down in tassie when I was younger - but damn it was cold. My wetsuit was much better suited to Victorian conditions.

But much higher chance of getting stung by jelly fish

Box? In northern Qld mostly. Is there some kind of special wetsuit to prevent being stung?
I don't know how far south stingers go in QLD, but I was stung south of Perth. Long rash vests/suits can be worn yeah?

I spent most of my surfing life near the sharks down at Phillip Island but don't think I ever saw one
