Joel Garner is one i wouldn't mind us taking at 18. He has slid down the rankings a bit this year, probably due to being played all over the field, but seems to have found his best position as a half back where he can put his beautiful left foot kick and his intercept marking ability to best use. He's a natural footballer and a natural leader too, having captained Vic Metro during the champs this year. As a bonus, i read in an article the other day that he thought it would be "unreal" to be drafted to Brisbane, where he could learn from his idol, Luke Hodge.

I know we have a bevy of half back flankers at the moment, but some of them may move into the midfield in the future (Witherden, Cox, Allison) and you can never have too many good users of the footy. Also, i don't think anyone we have playing off the half back at the moment reads the ball as well in the air as Garner, who is a prodigious intercept mark.

Garner a chance at 18 for us depending on whose gone, and he would fill a need for us.

I like that you have Richards in there. I watched a few of his games for Oakleigh this year and his kicking really is a level above everyone elses. His kick ins are witherden-esque at times. He played stints through the midfield as well and looked really dangerous with his pace and agility. Would be a good get at 15 but it wouldn't surprise me if he went even earlier than that.

I've heard differently Dow was ruled out a while ago last 48hrs on radio in Melbourne has been between 2 players either LDU or Raynor/brayshaw.

Eh not for me - only watched the GF last year and didn't really spin my wheels.

For all those that follow the AFLW at least you guys have that to look forward to!

Hopefully they can one up last year and take the win.

AFLX looks pretty boring as well.

Anderson tends to go his own way. His opinions aren't bad but his strike rate on "news" is hit or miss. Twomey is probably the best at getting draft inside word these days, now that both Quayle and Balmer are gone.
