When you say up to speed do you mean actual speed or endurance? Certainly not worried about their speed off the mark.

I think he means their fitness. Their ability to do their roles for 4 quarters.

Starc tests quick but doesn't play like a person who runs a sub 2.9sec 20m. Hopefully he can utilise this elite trait once he gains more experience.

In reality we probably could’ve got Bailey and Starcevich with later picks but they have a huge amount of potential and could be amazing midfielders in a few years.

That was my reaction at the time of drafting them.

You can never say never, but with his uncle coaching our womens team, I don't believe we'll have to much to worry about.

As long as we keep Craig Starcevich gainfully employed.

I can confirm our recruiters had Starcevich listed as their 10th best player, while Bailey was in 8th. Club more than happy to get 3/10 top rated players.

They also view Starcevich as a Fyfe type - “in the mould” were the words. Very athletic and tested super well at the combine.
