I reckon Bailey will be better than Higgins. He has speed from stoppages. Higgins doesn't. It's not like we had multiple picks before Higgins went, only one at 15.

I have a pair of Ethans as next on my board:

Floyd and Penrith.

Both offer speed, among other assets, and for me are just the type of development prospects we should be looking for in a Rookie Draft.

Not going to happen unless they're from Queensland or Africa or somewhere international. Maybe next year? We have plenty of rookies we're developing.

All recruiters have their own rankings list. Starc was viewed as 10th best overall in the draft.

They also said Ed Richards and Stephenson were not on our list. One a huge go-home factor and the other with the obvious heart issues.

Any idea how many players were not on the list due to go home factor?

If there were a few, would be interesting how that impacted our recruiters list.

That was considered a bit of a left fielder at the time but we had actually nailed it.

Pity Yeo repaid our faith in him by buggering off on us.

Let's hope Starc sticks around. Got a good vibe about this one.

Yeo for a sensitive sole copped a fair bit from rock when he came. AFAIK the rocky treatment of Yeo is where a fair bit of the anti rock brigade got their ammo from.

Common place in local clubs (not justifying) but there ya go. Starcy should stick around lol doubt he'll cop the same treatment

He left school early, that's a bad decision in this day and age and I dare say quite a few clubs would have put pen through him then and there.

But your really right about the tigers, they can do no wrong this year. They got Higgins who was statistically (via champion data) the number 1 player in the pool, they got Bolta who was rated 6 by Knightmare and is an amazing athlete who has very high ceiling and finally they picked up the best ruckman in the draft too. Tigers have cleaned with their picks on face value.

It's always worth remembering that recruiters don't just rate players on who had the best year but who they project to be what the club's list needs in 5+ years time.

Agree. The cats killed it with the picks they had. Fogarty, Kelly, Constable and Miers is a really nice hall considering their first pick was 22. Constable at 36 in particular is a great get.

Am I overlooking something, or do we now have 41 players on our Senior List? There are 33 listed on the website senior list, incl Archie , plus 2 trades plus 6 draftees?

Either Archie doesn't get elevated to the Senior list, or we maybe delist someone else and then pick them up on the rookie list along with Claye and Cian. Even if Cian and Eagles are Cat B, the rookie list is also getting a bit crowded already?
