was thinking the same thing. Ballenden looks like he needs a couple of seasons to catch up to his size, he's got that bit of baby giraffe type movement of someone who is big and young. But he's hit a couple of targets in open play so at least we know he can kick Looks like a late first rounder to me

He is definitely an exciting looking proposition.

I have only seen Ballenden play a handful of times and whilst he hasn't set the world alight, his ability to play ruck is a point of difference to Schache and Hipwood and is an added bonus to our ruck stocks.

Oh absolutely. I'd expect him to start forward and pinch hit in the ruck, but in a few seasons time be 80% ruck/20% forward, with a Schache or someone else pinch hitting in the ruck. Could work out perfectly in the end, might be tough to find him a spot in the seniors the first couple of seasons though. Patience is needed with this one.
