LDU not doing much for Vic Country and his disposal has been off. Worpel getting a fair bit of it and his disposal has been OK. Liking the look of Matthew Ling.

Yeah there isn't really anything to write home about. O'Brien was good early, Dow starting to get into it. The Hawthorn academy bloke for next year has been good. LDU has still managed 11 touches without being too damaging.

WA has been all over them though. Hill (next year) looks very impressive.

Hate doing these comparisons but first thought watching him sidestep and find space in traffic was Pendles.

From what I've seen yep. Just seems to think things out really quickly. Hasn't really got a lot of it but when he has you just see the foundations of a really good player.

It may end up being an agonising choice between him and Rayner but part of me wants the classy sure thing rather than the epic risk/reward type. Might hurt down the line if Rayner turns into a Fyfe/Bont for someone else but if LDU could be a Luke Power type 250 game engine room accumulator with quality (if not profoundly damaging) disposal that's hard to pass up.

Vic Country has been good to us. South Australia worries me a bit.

LDU seems like the surer thing imo. I like Rayner a lot and he's Dusty esque but for there's quite a few question marks and you really can't take chances with pick 1. Rayner will probably kick 3 in the next match and woo me though.

LDU with a strong mark and goal on the siren. He's certainly a classy player and the Pendles comparison has merit, particularly in the way he moves. Disposal today has been inconsistent but so has everyone's.

O'Brien worked into the game nicely in that quarter and really led the revival. Others to get amongst it were Paddy Dow and Hunter Clark off HBF.

Looks like Country has finally worked out WA's disciplined defensive set-up and are starting to use the 45 kick to come through the middle... Country will come hard in the last but might've left their run too late.

Rayner also looks more like the type another club might go gaga over which might present a trade opportunity like last year.

There is so much to like about Worpel. Been playing off half back predominantly but always attacks the ball so well at ground level. Has kicked well too. Got caught holding it a few times but hard to fault a kid always going for the ball like he has.

Not sure if this was just a general statement or not, but Rayner is Vic Metro. There's also Darcy Forgarty who's an SA kid in a similar mould to Rayner as a 190+ fwd/mid that likes to throw his weight around a bit.

We've certainly started to build a nice little Vic Country Mafia up here and wouldn't mind adding to that, although I love the look of Rayner.

Still plenty of time until November. In NobFag we trust.

LDU just seems like the type of player you can build a midfield around. Similar to Berry. Gets the hard ball but doesn't have any weaknesses in his outside game.

Yep, got my wires crossed there. Vic Metro also mildly concerning though. Cutler, McStay and Lester have done well but none of them were royally annointed high draft picks.

If we took LDU (who has average pace), I would be looking for someone with genuine speed at our next pick.
