I'd take Worpel with Ports pick and wouldn't think twice. It's not even so much his field kicking for mine, just his tenancy to whack it on the boot hoping for a good result in contested situations. That's something that can be ironed out of his game and if it was, he'd be a massive steal.

If your worried about the DE% stat: Danger and Martin, likely to be 1 and 2 in the Brownlow voting, both operate at under 63% across the season.

Look how far blokes like Robertson and Matho have come with their kicking. Even Yeo was average when he started out with us.
I agree. I've been riding the Worpel train since last year.

1st Pick- Rayner IF he is happy to play in brisbane otherwise trade pick one, He is exactly what we need speed and power in our mid and can also play up fwd when developing like Petracca
Ports Pick-Lochie O'Brien:Great speed and beautiful kick will be a great outside mid which we lack and can also play in the backline
2nd Pick-Ballenden hopefully he can get him using that pick and develop him as a Fwd/Ruck

At this stage Rayner can't play long minutes in the midfield. He just doesn't have the tank. And there is a concern whether he can develop his tank in the future.

All depends who we want with our first pick and who and if there is a consensus number 1. Last year we wanted McCluggage and were pretty sure he would still be available at 3, if a similar deal that got us McCluggage and Berry last year could be negotiated that would be fantastic.

From reading reports on O'Brien I don't think he will be available with Ports pick, if he is yes snap him up and run.

Would be good if we got a third pick in before Ballenden is bid on.

There are very few players with consistently poor kicking efficiency who have enough of an impact to make that deficiency forgivable.

If Rayner is Petracca with worse endurance, that's a problem. Petracca still struggles to impact games in more than bursts and, even though he's decent there, you wouldn't exactly call him a match winner as a forward.
I'm not saying he won't live up to his potential, but even when you take his injury into account it seems to me that the weaknesses people talked about in his game have shown up at afl level.

didn't know that hopefully he can improve because i think he is exactly what we need to go with Matho,Keays,Berry and McCluggage

Nice account haha.
Can't see us trading future pick as next years draft is supposed to be a superdraft
AHAH yes i am back Version 2 ;)

yeah good point on the future pick idea forgot about that, But would also like us to use all 3 top 20 picks this year and get Cameron so we can fast track the rebuild instead of going for another draft in 2018 and cameron would be perfect for us

i think we will most likely trade a future second rounder for Cameron, Would be the best outcome

Does anyone know what happens if we trade our future second and carry a second round deficit matching Ballenden?
I'm guessing that the defecit would just be taken from our 2018 3rd round pick, but haven't seen it confirmed anywhere yet.

I'm on the Dow train. I just have a feeling the risk of Rayner both as a talent and a flight risk is too great for pick 1. If Dow is rated as pick 2 or 3 and we're keen, we'd no doubt be able to down trade to get an extra pick in the top 20.
